Actually if I could choose to have any superpower, I'd want the power to make people feel whatever I've felt at any point of my life, at my choice. Someone mildly inconveniences me, I'm letting them have 30 minutes of being five years old and trying to learn how to cry silently because you know nobody's coming to help you and if someone hears you, they're coming to make it worse. Fuck you and your eyebrows.

this person hurt me but still refuses to admit they did anything wrong years later? fine. you get to experience the pain I went through when you said/did that, and the ghost of that pain that echoes through my body when i'm reminded of that.

this person doesn't believe that autism exists? you get that one time where I was so overstimulated that I couldn't do anything because existing was overwhelming but if I didn't change into less sensory bad clothing then I wouldn't be able to feel better but I couldn't change cause the feeling of having skin was Too Much and everything was Too Much and so I just lay on the floor trying not to let any part of me come into contact with any other part of me and crying softly cause the felling of the floor against my back was Too Much. and I was like that for who knows how long. believe me yet?

there's a good side to this power as well though

someone I love doesn't understand why i'm happy crying at this seemingly small thing? they get to see what I see and feel some of the overwhelming joy that fills me up and overflows.

(UM. SO. it was originally just going to be a very-very short drabble - im talkin like 150 smth words. but then i wrote more. so enjoy this kind of short-almost-medium-but-not-there-yet length drabble ♡ )

the bathroom tiles were cold under your bare feet. you were humming to yourself, a soft melody you couldn't remember the name of or where it came from. your clothes laid in a disorderly manner all over the bathroom floor.

bare as the day you were born, you unclasped your necklace to step into the shower when the door creaks open. your heart lurches in your chest before your hands spring into action. wide eyes snapping to find cate's delighted gaze and her eyes bluer than usual, but always tender. her lips twitch into a smile when her eyes rake down to your hands that have come to cover your breasts.

"nothing i haven't seen before." she jokes, stepping into the bathroom with you.
