A letter from Curtis Mega to Owen Carvour, May 3rd, 1953

Owen,

Hello, old pal, I hope this letter finds you well.

We parted ways about a month ago as of writing this. I can't help but miss you. I usually do not write these thoughts, we both understand the worry of being caught, especially since this is my first letter to you, and I can only hope that Cynthia gave me the correct address. However, I cannot contain myself any longer, for you are the only one who could make me feel. I miss you, truly, something a year ago I would never dare utter. We're different now, clearly, both as people and in our partnership. My appreciation for you grows stronger with every passing hour, every second parted. We may never meet again, and yet I could never forget you.

It's a strange sensation, knowing that we may be the only people out there who feels how we do. We must be lucky than, millions of people and we fall in each other's arms, so lucky to be living at the same time, despite the ocean keeping us separate. Perhaps the distance is what makes our bond stronger. You have ruined me, my perception of time, the way I view this job. Missions are fun no longer, they do not have you in them. I pretend you lay beside me most nights, hands around me, fingers in my hair, breathing against my ear. You sometimes talk in your sleep, it's soft. I cannot make out what you say, but I adore it. Sorry if this is the first you're hearing about it, I just had to mention it. You do not leave my mind, Owen, never. I do not spend a single day without remembering you, not an hour passes where what you may be doing doesn't float through my mind.

I hate the sentence "I miss you". It feels sad. Like words of affection stripped down to their saddest form, left with a whimper instead of a feeling of love or attachment. And yet, I cannot think of any words to say to you other than that.

I miss you, Owen. And I hope you miss me too.

Fucking wild to be teaching about Rosa Parks at the same time as a trans woman in Florida does an act of civil disobedience to use a women's restroom in the state capitol

As far as I know, she is the first woman arrested bc of this law. The law requires that the trans person be warned to leave the bathroom by a state official, and then if they stay they are guilty of trespassing after a warning.

So like, me, my gf, others just piss and nobody asks or tells, but this young woman sent a statement about the law to over 100 FL lawmakers so they would know she was coming, the cops were ready for her, she brought a reporter and went in anyway and spent the night in a men's jail. She is out on bail, and is hoping this will inspire change of the law. But if found guilty, and the law is upheld as constitutional, then she could spend up to 60 days in a mens county jail.

i got two tropes i like about them!

1. the whole bit where sonic is conflicted asf bc why is he falling for his rival in a different font?? is his shadow actually a softie too??

2. not only was sonic dropped into the whole black knight dimension, so was shadow. lancelot’s missing (couldn’t come up with anything else maybe shadow actually killed him) and shadow took over his role. blah blah overall sonic rules camelot with shadow by his side to keep up the guise,,, love blossoms over time all that cheesy shit
