Helloooo,

I'm Lu and this is my little Ghost sideblog, so I won't annoy my normal/ differently weird peeps to death with my obsession with this band. I always try to tag things in a logical way, so you can use the linked tags below. Unmasked Ghouls/ Papa are tagged accordingly!

I'm a traditional artist if you want to check my Ghost (and some other fandoms like Dragon Age) art out: @delulluart.

Sometimes I upload Clips or Photos on this blog (sometimes edited by me, like making the white eye glow) - always with credit, of course when things are not mine (adding sources is sexy, dear people).

Admittedly, I'm mostly here for the Papas, especially Copia, so if you're looking for a lot of Ghoul content, you're probably not on the right blog. (this also is not a safe zone for people who hate body hair and want the Papas to look like 23 year old boyband members)

If you have any questions or want to find a certain photo (I've been a fan since about early 2014 or something and love to help) or just want to chat, send me a message! (If you want the full 'tism event, ask for the Papa III/Cardinal/Popia masks (currently working on the big unofficial Mask Guide))

GHOST // LACHRYMA dir. Amir Chamdin

In the middle of the night, it feeds In the middle of the night, it eats you Everybody knows Everywhere I go I can never run and I cannot hide I'm done crying Over someone like you

I’ve finally managed to collect my thoughts on why Peacefield wrecked me so bad in Manchester and I wanted to share my thoughts with you, a little retrospective on the last 10+ years of Ghost, maybe, a lot of gratitude definitely.

A little while after I first got into Ghost sometime in 2013/14 I checked out their live performances on Youtube and the first I saw was a recording of their Los Angeles Ritual in 2013. I was in awe. Many bands are not very good live, but these guys rocked it on that little stage in their simple costumes, with a relatively simple but extremely cool and probably too expensive for their budget lighting setup, fantastic vocals and instrumental sound, and I thought: „Wow. They are going to be HUGE in 10 years“.

The next time i felt this was at some show early during the Pale Tour Named Death in 2018, they’d been growing rapidly despite the Lawsuit chaos and the production improved so much, with better lightshow, that once again looked too good for their budget, amazing stage layout, more Ghoul(ette)s, a mask that made the Cardinal look like a real person – and I thought: „Wow. The are going to be HUGE in 5 years“.

And then a few nights ago I sat in Manchester, the curtain had dropped about 15 seconds ago, I saw the incredible and incredibly expensive stage and giant light rig, the 21.000 people cheering, ridiculously good vocals coming from Papa, who was strutting over the stage oozing confidence and joy, his face on the big screen to my left splitting in a big, big happy smile.

And as the chorus of Peacefield started again, it hit me so much; i was reminded of Papa II and Copia on their small stages that already teased, no, promised what was about to come – and now HAD come.

That the Ghost that Tobias had dreamed of for 20 years is finally here and he can finally, finally share it with us.

And while Papa was shaking his ass on stage with a huge smile on his face, maybe my eyes were a little bit wet.

Soooo a the two note worthy things for me from Tobias’ HMV talk because my brain is still buzzing asdfg.

  1. When asked if he could tell us more about Papa V he said no (lmao). He misheard someone saying Papa V was a count and just responded “he’s a cunt???”
  2. Also talked about the half-mask thing. I don’t remember verbatim but he said how he developed severe claustrophobia from it and said “if they (presuming the label) had wanted me to do it again (wear the prosthetic masks) I would have never set foot on stage again.”
  3. (Yeah it was THAT bad poor guy) And he reiterated how thankful he was people didn’t turn after that decision.

I don’t have a lot of thought right now but that’s stuff I remember off the top of my head.

Hey do you know who is still in the band??

Hi,

yes, technically it's still just TF in the band, but I know you mean the touring lineup: Nothing changed except that Queen Cumulus has left us and instead we got a new Multi Ghoulette (Aurora took Cumulus place on the keyboard platform). Everyone else is the same!

I'm already working on the next one. I transfer directly from my graphics tablet, which is very practical. If you remember, it's my remake of Klimt's Liebe. This one is intended as a gift for the purchase of several prints at once (at least one big + one small). This print will also be in A3 format. At the rate I'm going, I think the first test print will be next week, I can't wait to see what it looks like.

Please, I need to know…Did Cirrus do her sexy monstrance clock solo like in the footage from the prequelle era??

The song itself was the same as before, so I assume she did (god you're right, that part IS so sexy, damnit) - but I must admit I was so busy being emotional that this song was back and how cool everything was, that I totally forgot to pay full attention to our queen 😭😭

I'm seeing them again in Frankfurt next week and will correct my mistake!

Thinking about selling my Year Zero hoodie, it's a 3XL but imo it's sized like a 2XL, the fit is all weird for me.

It's £75 on the Ghost store, so I'm willing to go lower than that obviously.

I kept it longer than I should have bc I was in denial of it not fitting, so I can't send it back now - too late.

Would anyone (UK based) be interested?

I've worn it a couple of hours, but otherwise it's like new.

It's this Zip Hoodie btw

I'll probably put it on Vinted or something so that it can be done through a proper channel, but putting feelers out.
