In Japanese, they don’t say “moon,” they say “tsuki,” which literally translates to “moon,” and I think that’s how language works.
Hey its been at least 9 years anything changed?
nope! all quiet on the linguistic front. i am a girl now though
Still drives me absolutely bonkers thinking about the moment you first start to change and become human in Lies of P, is the moment after you fight Romeo and go back to the hotel. Sophia notes you don’t look so good after she mentions the necklace Romeo had— the one that says “To Romeo from your friend C”. It visibly affects you and you’re not sure why just yet.
Where only after that, you hear Romeo’s voice whisper “Carlo” and suddenly you have physically changed. Your hair is longer, your shoulders are broader, you have physically been altered because encountering Romeo and hearing him say that name awakened something deep within you that wants out.
And the menu screen where your very heart sits is now the Opera House in flames with a bundle of white stargazer flowers sitting beside it.
Bonkers, man— BONKERS!!
anyone wanna sit together in silence while you do your thing and i do my thing and we do our things. together. in silence

FINAL FANTASY VII: REBIRTH (2024) dev. Square Enix
(Veilguard writing room) hey I know it's been established that the Qun and Tevinter have been fighting for ages in a decades-long rivalry but the nationalist Venatori cultists and the Antaam are going to set it aside to work for a couple of elf mages just because they're powerful I guess, even though the Venatori highly likely hate elves and have enslaved them for ages, but that's because all evil people are willing to join forces to achieve the extremely vague goal of gaining power because that's how being evil works! The rebel anti-slave god who just barely drove off the Qun from the South in Trespasser was NOT possibly trying to redirect the Qun's efforts onto Tevinter in order to accelerate their war and the destruction of the Empire practicing slavery... why would you think the rebel might take advantage of pitting his two most HATED ideologies against each other... Why would he bother to do that lmao
#I think it's kinda wild that they managed to follow a game tha had a lot of focus on the power of Faith#with a game where no one has faith in anything. no one strongly believes in anything.#aside from keeping the veil up.#Venatori's 'make tevinter great again' folded to elven gods and coworking with the antaam#the antaam being specificed to still worship the Qun so they're not Tal Vashoth somehow become OK with magic now#and with working with Tevinter despite the fact the codex about the Antaam split from the Qun#was specifically because the Arishok wanted to put an halt to the invasions plans after the failures of Dragon Breath#the Antaam according to the codex was so mad they couldn't invade Tevinter that they broke off from the Qu....#to ally with Tevinter suppremacist. Because that's the normal evoltion there.#we get like a letter for each like 'shh i know you're uneasy about working for [thing] but look at it this way'#but this is not nuance or multiple point of view when everyone are just blind minions in game#a far cry from like Caperlina who despite being Venatori was using this cult to her own gain yaknow#none of them are treated like people by the narrative#no one believes in anything anymore.#the Chantry? barely mentioned. The Dalish? They 'always knew the Evanuris were bad.' The Qun? Well you got me there. The Dwarves? Who?#game about soul crushing reveals and no one believe anything#and i don't mean religion per se i mean like. set of beliefs. Ways to see the world going.#'blood magic is wrong' is the only thing#except in this game they try to justify it inherently corrupts the user (which is an oversimplification that missed the mark of the point)#rubs temples.#'why did you bother reading all that shit' - the video game that punishes people for engaging with it#dragon age#da4 critical#da4 spoilers#davg#also that somehow brings an irony to how badly spirits are treated in game#of course they are barely even people in Veilguard. You'd need to feel strongly about something to solidify them.#no one in Veilguard believes in anything. Why would anything be brought to life from it?
