tumblr is such a different animal than other social media platforms for so many reasons obviously but one thing i really find funny about it is how on other sites if i see something that doesn't interest me i don't follow or don't like the post. but on here if someone i follow starts posting exclusively about something really niche that i have no interest in my reaction is never to unfollow. its just part of the natural environment. like oh mutual is now really into pro wrestling? ok i guess ill be seeing these guys around now

Hey it's me and to absolutely no one's surprise, I'm writing another Mike and Nacho analysis post.

So, we know that Nacho didn't actually clock that the "Michael" Lalo kept bringing up was Mike. At first this was surprising to me, because Nacho is a very astute individual. He figured out that Mike was the one who robbed Hector's truck pretty easily, for one thing. So why did it never occur to him that "Michael" was Mike, even when Lalo described him as "bald gringo"?

Then I realized it was because Nacho kind of puts Mike on a pedestal. He believes Mike is a good and honourable guy (as honourable as a criminal can be, that is).

So it shocks him when he sees Mike is working for Gus. It just never occured to him that (in Nacho's eyes) Mike would stoop that low.

To be fair, at this point Mike had no idea how far Gus was willing to go to avenge Max. All Mike got was a warning when he tried to kill Hector, so he probably assumed that if Nacho got caught he'd be afforded the same respect. Especially since Gus treated Mike with respect. But Nacho didn't know that. To him, Mike has always been a trusted ally.

And it's tragic that he trusts Mike up until the very end. Mike does care about Nacho, of course, because he wants to believe he is a good person deep down because he puts Nacho on a pedestal.
