Interest check: Wings of fire, Nightwing rebellion/independence RP (discord + roblox, long term)

I am currently working on a roleplay server, but I need to know how many people would be interested, before dedicating more time to it + writing lore. The server will be 16+, for moderation sake. (No nsfw.)

The roleplay takes place approximately 50 years after current (canon books) events.

That's the basic plot of the roleplay!

Obviously the RP will be centered around the Nightwings and Rainwings, but other tribes are welcome as allies (either sides) or visitors.

It will take place mostly on Discord, as a long term roleplay, and will occasionally have events and sessions on the Roblox Wings of fire beta game (completely free to play).

The server is currently a work in progress, and this is why I am making an interest check, because I do not want to dedicate more time on it if turns out noone is interested, especially since motivation is hard for me so writing a whole lore document for it to be useless would... Really hurt my health. If enough people are interested, I might open the server sooner, but keep the RP closed until I am done with the writing.

most of you would not like most street homeless people, I definitely don’t and didn’t when I was street homeless. for every one person who uses unconditional shelter to turn themselves around, someone else will do jack shit and very slowly, if ever, work through the issues that made them homeless, will maybe never be able to live independently. still better than street homelessness, still worth doing. ultimately either you believe that shelter should be universal or you don’t

homeless people actually can’t be rehabilitated if you want to end homelessness. we either affirm the right to shelter for the worst drunken, lying, filthy, cheating, self destructive homeless people that exist, genuinely irredeemable wankers, or we concede that shelter is not a right

of course it's funny to hear that from the car girl, but I actually really didn't want to drive when it became possible for me to do so. it wasn't until I was 20 where I was deciding that I felt like I could and should drive a car, for my sake and for helping people out when they can't (which I don't do very often. sorry!) but the notion that it is a necessary thing at all even when you have better options or when you just don't like cars, it's so stupid

how i'm handling my students using AI to write papers:

-don't accuse them on using AI from the get-go and instead ask them to informally define all the huge words that they used in their essay which i know they don't know the meaning of

-ask to see their original file where they "wrote" the essay. go to version history to see if it was just copy and pasted and then just edited a bit. i keep an eye out for the shit like "certainly! here's an essay about...."

-if they own up to it, they can re-do the assignment for a higher grade even if there will be an automatic penalty. if they don't, i process it like plagiarism and get my supervisor involved.

And this is much better than the immediate accusations. Some students have a good vocabulary. Stop accusing them of faking their essays without proof, and this is a good way to check.

Fellow students please stop using AI, go back to promising not to kill the school nerd if they do all your homework or something.
