Going into this new year of 2025, the world is looming large. I know there are many things we’re worried about, the safety and stability of ourselves and our loved ones, those who actively put effort toward hurting and tearing down others.

That’s why it’s important we put good into the world, both in our local, in-person communities, and online.

For my part, I’m starting a book club for the local high schoolers to encourage critical thinking and improve literacy, and to build bridges in the area.

Online, I’m continuing my efforts of drawing attention to Hadeel’s family—herself, her husband, their two daughters and newborn son, and their extended relatives. I ask you to donate, share and reblog to help them out.

If you want to do more than that, you support and boost the gofundme of another Palestinian family! Get involved with a local pro-Palestine group, or set up a fundraiser to help!

Remember: your efforts are not futile. The world is so big, and our future in 2025 is intimidating, but approach it with the mindset that if you help one person, make their life a bit better, it’s worth it.
