INTRO POST!

Hey everyone! I've been on Tumblr for ages but never really posted, well, here I am!

I go by the name Haunted online, and I’m honestly really excited to connect w/ y’all!

A bit about me: I’m Indian 🇮🇳, use the pronouns they/he, and identify as bisexual! 🩷 💜 💙 (This blog is very queer) and am probably trans (mtf) but I haven’t transitioned or anything yet…

Interests:

Literature, Reading and Writing I read just about anything honestly!  I enjoy a lot of YA, but I also delve into the pickings of science fiction, historical fiction, romance, and many of my favorite books are either queer or queer-coded too! I have a soft spot for classic literature and mythology (The pictures of Dorian Gray is AMAZING) However, my favourite book would have to be the Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy by Cixin Liu; it’s a profound work that tells a beautiful story as deep as the earth’s chasms (that’s a reference) in a compelling manner, so GO READ IT!

Space: I’m thoroughly fascinated by anything related to the far reaching wonders of the cosmos! Astronomy has been one of my biggest interests for ages, and I love yapping about it, from the latest NASA launch to the beauty of the final frontier.

History, Geography, and Politics: I’m super into the humanities and love exploring these subjects! I particularly enjoy learning more about how the effects of ancient civilizations have shaped our modern way of living! Geography is honestly brilliant too, as it is such a diverse subject where you can learn just about *anything*! 

Transport:

I love all things transport; planes, to trains, to buses, you name it! I live in a city where its dynamics are basically based on its wonderful public transport system, so it's no wonder I am obsessed with transport! So yup, I will sometimes rattle about the new high speed rail train, or sustainable aviation fuel, but hey, it is interesting!

Musical Theatre

I don’t even know what to say, sound is crazy, shout out to music! My favourite musical has to be either Hamilton or Les Mis (ofc i’m a history nerd) and i’m also obsessed with sound and lighting (it’s fucking magical)!

Chess

Love Chess, am an avid player with a rating of 1359, and am ready to talk about all things chess! My favourite player atm would probably be Fabiano Caruana or Richard Rapport, although my playing entails many blunders, unlike them. My favourite openings are the Caro-Kann and the London System. uhm, so yea- welcome to my little blog!, i hope you stay for some time

So how is it that second-hand embarrassment is the single most powerful and weakening emotion one can feel from media?

Tragedy? Delicious.

A hard-earned happy ending? Wonderful.

A convoluted narrative? Keeps you glued.

Simple slice of life? It’s entertaining.

Second-hand embarrassment? Hang on, g, I gotta pause this for fifteen minutes, no, I cannot continue watching this right now, I am just not strong enough.

I WANNA DO THIS

  1. Talking behind people’s backs, joking or lying about sh or things along those lines, not letting people have opinions without interjecting and correcting with your own opinion, constantly requiring validation/attention/reassurance.
  2. praise, kind words, gentle physical touch, letting me be weird, messing w my hair (AUGH PLEASE) drawing on me, giving random trinkets back and forth, little games, giving me time to grow accustomed to you, et cetera
