straight from star wars itself! i took from senators and royalty characters to start on websites like this, mashed them together and just played with it

Star Wars Color Theory
As I was preparing an upcoming post, I started wondering which characters in the Saga wore colors beyond earthtones, black, white, or shades
Living History in the Star Wars Galaxy

then i took my favorite designs and tried different variations of them all.

once i settled on the purple robe, i found garments of a similar construction from designers, red carpets, emmys to use as reference. things like this, because you need good reference to do fabric falling in a way thats natural and pleasing. some that i used for the Glass Moon Affair:

I use pintreset to find these because its semi-decent at grouping similar clothes together and you can follow the algorithm around to find new things.

For Zeb, I just referenced as many Jedi as i could. His final design is most heavily inspired by Quinn-lan Vos because, ngl, I wanted his arms out and about hahahahah

I desperately need more city-kid Kallus content lol. He grew up in a major metropolis! And I don't just mean lower levels Kallus, I mean, like, he's used to having his favorite bodega on the corner, he's used to sensible public transportation, he's used to different culinary styles and international (intergalactic?) food being available at midnight, stores being open 24/7 and within walking distance, thriving bars and clubs, etc.

Then he spends years in the military, so his lifestyle changes, but once he settles down into civilian life again and has to adjust to a whole different kind of civil living.

K: Oh, we're out of milk. I'm gonna run to the store, be right back

Z: …the stores are closed.

K: it's only 10?

Z: yeah, they close at 8.

K: …

Z: and they're an hour drive away, we live in the country

K: …oh..right.. yeah.

Z: hey we need to figure out what we need for winter

K: …I guess I could use a new winter hat…?

Z: no, like, for food. So we don't starve.

K: we can't go to the store?

Z: you wanna drive down that mountain road in when its covered in snow?

K: haha that noise sounds like a wild animal

Z: yeah, lets head inside

K: no, they wouldn't come this far into town

Z: ...babe...

K: *panicking*

I keep thinking about Kallus shoveling a driveway for the first time or, like, seeing a goat in real life for the first time. I think he'd like it, obviously, but going from a planet-wide city to a farmhouse has to be crazy.

sure! its my next inktober prompt but im stuck on what to do with it exactly. i like both of these but i feel like i could do something, idk, better? more impactful?

honestly feel free to hmu with ideas or help me pick, lol. im leaning to the one on the right i think? (the more challenging one, naturally)

and the asterisk is just replacing a 'k' in possibly unnecessary censorship because i didnt feel like testing tumblrs flagging system
