On the Same Planet but in Different Worlds: Gazans are Humans Too!

Allow me to point out some of the blessings that people, unlike those in the strange scary world of Gaza, are inclined to take for granted and rarely do they reflect on:

A plea from one family to another: kindly help me get my family to a safe place before I lose them forever. The situation in Gaza only moves from bad to worse. My family is stranded in the most hellish conditions ever, so I am dedicating to helping them evacuate to Egypt as soon as possible.

Join me in securing a dignified safe life for my family and a prosperous future for the children who have been deprived of education for a year.

Even worse, it seems they won't receive any education for another year at least as the ravaging cruel war continues and most Schools have been viciously and devilishly destroyed. i've shared amal's gofundme (@amalashuor) several times, but i just received messages from her that broke my heart

amal is a 26 year old mother from gaza. she is an incredibly dedicated and loving mother to her year old daughter, maryam. before the war, she was studying to receive her masters degree in french language. on her instagram (@/amal_sufian97_) she shared beautiful photos of her life and family in the years before the war.

now amal, her husband, and maryam have been displaced several times and have nowhere to turn to. amal wishes to finish her degree, and both she and her husband want nothing more than a better life for their young daughter. every time i receive a message from amal, my heart is full knowing she is still alive, but it breaks for her suffering. i implore you, please donate any amount you're able to help amal and her family escape gaza. they deserve nothing less than safety, warmth, love, laughter, security, and life. as of july 6th, €1,025 / €30,000 has been raised. her campaign is also included on el-shab-hussein and nabulsi's spreadsheet of verified fundraiser (#175). if you're unable to donate, please share. i want nothing more than to give amal hope that she can provide a better life for her daughter.

i cannot stress enough how urgent it is to help Wafaa evacuate her children and grandchildren out of Gaza. the iof bombed their family home, where all three generations of Wafaa's family were living. now, Wafaa not only has to secure lodging and food for herself but also provide financially for her family who is currently living in tents in Rafah, without access to much-needed baby products (for Wafaa's daughter's newborn son!!) nor medicine (for multiple members of the family who have alarmingly high fevers and horrible stomach pains with Hepatitis) nor clean food and water.

Wafaa has a beautiful family of 15 people, 6 of them her daughters. there are 4 children and 1 newborn of the 15 people Wafaa hopes to reunite with in Egypt. Her 5 year old granddaughter has been incapacitated by an unbroken fever for days, and her newborn grandson has nothing to eat.

yesterday, Wafaa shared with us that the iof invasion has murdered her niece.

please get Wafaa's family to safety, every time I get to talk to Wafaa it is clear that her heart is in Gaza with her family, and she implores all of us to help her so she could see her loved ones safe and happy with her. please donate whatever you can. any small donation, added up in a crowd, can move mountains.

I'm Amal, 33 years old. My husband Eyad is 39, and we have seven children: Hala (15), Nour (13), Abdelrahman (11), Mohammed (9), Omar (6), Ahmed (4), and baby Hoor, just 7 months old.

In the blink of an eye, we awoke to a devastating barrage of bombs. The war had begun, and soon tanks surrounded us as the northern Gaza Strip was declared off-limits. We fled immediately from the north, leaving behind my husband who had to stay with his elderly father who cannot walk. The presence of checkpoints and the prohibition of vehicles forced my husband to remain in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the north of Gaza.

My four-year-old son, Ahmed, suffers from diabetes. It is a constant struggle to find insulin injections and test strips. Weeks go by without being able to check his sugar levels, leaving me in fear of whether his levels are too high or too low.

I fled on foot, just ten days after giving birth. I carried my ten-day-old baby and my other young children, alone, fighting for their safety. A few days later, the northern Gaza Strip was completely isolated, leaving my husband trapped.

I cannot bear the panic attacks that Hoor suffers from the constant bombing

It was incredibly difficult to care for my children without my husband, moving from one place to another. I finally sought refuge in a shelter school in Deir Al-Balah.

My children have been deprived of their father, who used to provide all their needs. Their schooling has been halted, and their mental health is in ruins due to the war. My baby girl cannot get proper nutrition and is unable to sleep due to the constant sounds of bombs.

We share our room at school with 40 people, lacking water and sanitary supplies

My husband remains in the north, experiencing severe famine. Periodically, I manage to contact him, learning that he is still alive, but his situation is dire.

We want to escape Gaza and survive this tragic war, to build a decent life for my family, providing the basics of life: food, medical care, and a safe home.

Among the martyrs was my uncle’s 13-year-old daughter.

A man searches for his son under the rubble😭

This scene is of our friend whose house in Gaza was bombed by the Israeli army. He was searching for his son under the rubble. He put his ear to the stones in order to perhaps hear his son’s voice, but unfortunately the son died.

The occupation killed my cousin in this same way, and we were not able to take him out and his body decomposed, and we were able to bury him 4 months after his martyrdom.

I remind you that my family is still living in the midst of a fierce war, threatened by danger every day, and living a bitter and complicated life in tents that are like convection ovens.
