Between the past and the present were stories

Between these wars 2008 and this war 2023

In the 2008 war, our house was bombed, cars were destroyed, and our workplace was destroyed, but the war did not last long until we were able to return and rebuild everything.

In the 2014 war, there was a bombing near us. My daughter, Walaa, was 7 years old. As a result of the fear and extreme terror, she developed type 1 diabetes and is being treated by taking insulin.

We try repeatedly to provide her with a peaceful life, but wars make security and a peaceful life impossible. We are trying hard to provide insulin treatment, but it has become expensive and unavailable despite the calm of the war.

This is a picture of our house in this war, but I no longer have money and we no longer own anything. This is because the war has been so long that it has exhausted our energy and all we own is...

This war has killed the spirit of hope within us. Now all I am thinking about is how to provide treatment for my daughter and provide them with a decent life. Please help me intellectually and financially.

This is my workplace that was completely destroyed. I now have nothing but your love. Your help and financial support restores hope.

Please listen to me πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ».

Hello, I am Layan from Gaza.

This is my little brother Ayham. He was injured in the head due to the war while playing in front of the houseπŸ˜°πŸ’”.

We can no longer get our right to play or live safelyπŸ₯ΊπŸ’”.

Please get us out of this tragedy by sharing and donating through the linkπŸ™πŸ».

This is our life now, and how is your life now?

It's the story of a man who had dreams just like you, but war stole them.πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

My name is Abdullah, I am 20 years old. I was a university student. I had dreams for a bright future, but I did not know that war would come and make me ask for money in this difficult way. But this is life.

I created the campaign for two purposes:

1-Complete my education

I want to complete my education but this is difficult now because of the high fees so I hope you can help me with a little money

This link is to help complete my education.πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ₯Ή

2-Escape from war and travel

After this war, everything will be destroyed, houses, schools, universities, streets, roads and infrastructure, so life will become difficult.

to help escape the warπŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Now can you donate a cup of coffee in the morning?

My son was injured in Gaza and may lose his leg due to complex fractures. As you can see in the video, he is now unable to move. I also lost my young son during the displacement and was unable to find him. I was hoping to meet him, but a lot of people told me that he might have been targeted and his body had been analyzed. You don't know how I feel and how his mother feels. I ask you to donate to us, participate and help in order to treat my son. I don't want to lose him either while he is young and there is life ahead of him. I ask you to give him hope, and I thank you very muchπŸ’”πŸ’”

Peace be upon you, my friends. I ask you and I hope that you will help me save my son Samir and get him treated abroad. No one here is looking at us. There are no compensations. Samir needs several operations outside. Please save Samir. If the operations are not performed in the largest hospitals, his foot will be amputated and Samir will be dead. I am unable. Please, save Samir with posts, donations, contributions, and talk about his condition to everyone who is able to donate and do good. I ask you. Stand with me in this time, as you have always been with usπŸ™

Despite the joy of victory, the smell of pain and loss hurts our hearts. I lost my son Saeed, his body was mauled by dogs, and I do not know where his body is. My brother-in-law and grandson were martyred. As you can see, Samir's serious injury threatens to have his foot amputated if operations are not performed abroad as quickly as possible.

I lost my home that protected my children and friends. Samir's life is in danger so we must perform operations as quickly as possible. Please help us with your support and donations to save Samir and give him the opportunity to walk on his feetπŸ’”πŸ™πŸ‰πŸ‰

The messages have stopped and I don't know how to contact you. Please continue participating so that our appeal reaches those with compassionate hearts and those who are able to donate. I ask you and beg you like a father who is helpless before his son. I ask you to stand with me on this matter. Every delay in treatment makes the recovery rate lower. Know well, my friend, that you are hope. By treating Samir for his disability, you, with your donation, contribute to Samir’s recovery so that he can walk on his feet and improve his psychological state, which was destroyed by the war and what he saw there. It was bombed by the occupation, and all thanks to all of you.πŸ™πŸ™πŸ‰πŸ’”

I am Mohammed, I live in the northern besieged Gaza Strip, I am 21 years old, I have always tried to create a beautiful future for myself in which I achieve all my wishes. During the war, I lost many things, including my university, my dreams, my job, and some friends. Despite that, I still want to achieve my dreams and ambitions. I want to rebuild my life again, so please help me in that and rebuild my life. Therefore,

please donate as much as you can because that helps me a lot. If you cannot donate, tell people about my suffering.

Images: Hossam Al-Qazzaz and his family live atop the ruins of their beloved home in Gaza, which was destroyed by the conflict.
@hanon-qazaz
@hanoon-gaza

Written by @visionsofaselfmademan (new blog @rumiandroses )

This is cruel reality for the Al-Qazzaz family in Gaza: Hossam, his wife Hanan, their four young children (Bashar, age 9; Hani, age 8; Diana, age 4; and Habiba, just 4 months old), and Hossam’s elderly parents (both in their seventies, one of whom was badly burned and requires constant care). Their lives were forever changed when their home was destroyed by war. Now, they live amidst the rubble of their former life, sheltered only by a flimsy tent that fails to protect them from roaming wild animals and the ever-present threat of violence. The winter rains soak their makeshift shelter, leaving them all cold and vulnerable.

Images: (Left) Baby Habiba cries from hunger, as the family cannot afford milk or even disposable diapers. (Right) Little Bashar has been bitten by rats that invaded the family's tent in the night.

The Al-Qazzaz family once dreamed of escaping Gaza to rebuild their lives in safety, but the costs of evacuationβ€”estimated at €5,000 per personβ€”are insurmountable. So far, their GoFundMe fundraiser hasn't raised even enough to get one of them to safety, let alone all eight.

Realizing that escape was out of reach for the moment, they shifted their focus to building a modest room amidst the ruins of their home. But even that small hope has proven unattainable. With donations coming in too slowly to make any substantial change to their living situation, and prices for food and basic necessities skyrocketing to astronomical heights, the donations to their GoFundMe campaign must now go toward survival, leaving no resources for rebuilding or dreaming of a safer future.

My name is Bethany Grace. (Though some of you might also know me as "Liam.") I am the founder of The Gaza Giving Tree. I have encountered so many amazing people since I began this project, but the Al-Qazzaz family's humility and selflessness, despite overwhelming hardship, have earned my deepest respect. They ask for nothing beyond the bare essentialsβ€”food, shelter, and safety for their children.

This second campaign was not their idea (though I DID get their blessing to create it!). This precious family was fully prepared to patiently struggle on their own, and use their GoFundMe donations to merely survive.

NO FAMILY should have to endure this. NO PARENT should have to decide between feeding their child or giving them a safe place to sleep. The Al-Qazzaz family deserves more than this relentless struggle for survival. They deserve a chance to rebuild their lives, to live with dignity, and to dream of a future free from fear.

That’s why I have created a separate Chuffed campaign for them, dedicated solely to raising enough money to either help them evacuate to safety, or rebuild a secure home. This gives the Al-Qazzaz family a designated fund to help save for their future, while allowing them to continue to survive on the GoFundMe campaign in the interim.

Every donation, no matter how small, moves the Al-Qazzaz family closer to the stability and peace they so desperately need. If you cannot donate, sharing their story can make an enormous difference, as it can help their story reach people who can assist financially.

Let’s show the Al-Qazzaz family that they are not alone in their struggle. Let’s give them the chance to dream, to rebuild, and to live with the dignity that EVERY HUMAN BEING DESERVES.

Thank you for reading, caring, and keeping their voices alive. Together, we can make a difference.

You can donate to the Al-Qazzaz family's Chuffed campaign [HERE].

You can also donate to the Al-Quzzaz family's original GoFundMe campaign [HERE].

This campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters and is (#287) on their list of verified campaigns.

Help my family🩸

I am nedaa from the Gaza Strip. In the beginning, we lived for a short time in our house in temporary stability because our country was not a country of stability in the first place due to the ongoing wars on the Strip. My husband had a job and he had a source of income sufficient for us initially. On the seventh day of October, and on this morning, we woke up to... The beginning of this bloody war, shortly after the bombs fell on us and the disappearance of our basic needs of food, water, the necessities of life, pampers and milk, and after the bombing that hit the homes next to us, and after that we were forced to leave the house due to a ground operation and an order to evacuate the homes and the advance of tanks and shooting at us. We went out and my children and I could not. My husband and I wanted to take the most basic needs of blankets, mattresses, clothes, and food due to the lack of transportation during those difficult days. This was in the month of January, when it was winter and bitter cold. We walked long distances and were stranded until after that we were able to reach and flee to the city of Rafah, which was sparsely populated and almost Deprived of life, we were displaced to a place made up of tin, where deadly insects and germs were eating the bodies of our children. There was no water, no food, and nothing of the necessities of life. We struggled to get some food and water, and after a while, due to the severe bombing next to us, we were forced to flee again to the Khan Yunis suburbs. We were displaced inside the Khan Yunis suburbs for more than Once, due to violent bombing and shooting over our heads, we lived in tents made of cloth and wood, and my children lived through difficult days of fear and anxiety due to the intensity of the bombing. We learned during those days that our small house, which we had originally carved out of my father’s house, had been largely destroyed due to the violent bombing, and after several months. Living in tents, high heat, and the bitter cold of winter led to the withdrawal of vehicles from the areas in which we live, and we were able to reach our homes, which we were shocked by at the scene we saw of the horror of destruction caused by that war. We were forced to return to our destroyed home and set up shields to protect us from the elements of nature, and there was nothing there. Among the necessities of life, there is no food or water. The infrastructure was and still is completely destroyed, with sewage in the streets and we cannot bring water except with great difficulty. Now we are exposed to the cold and harsh winter and we need scarves and nylon to cover ourselves from the winter water. Even now we are exposed to shelling, bombs and gunfire. What is the fault of my children, Aysel? And Nidal, they live in this disastrous situation that does not provide them with the simplest basics of life, such as Pampers, milk, and all the necessities of life, and now we are living in a war of exorbitant prices in which we cannot provide the money to buy these needs, and now I am speaking to you, I and my small family are forced to ask for help from you so that we can secure a future. For my children, as we travel outside this country because of the constant wars, do not let us down and do not deprive us of your kindness and generosity.

Nedaa of Abd al-Rahman Nidal Aysel from the Gaza Strip

Thank you all

🚨Take a moment to imagine your child or loved one. What would you do for them? How far would you go to protect them and shield them from pain, loss and despair🚨

I am Marwa, a mother of three girls, Belasan, Joan and Nada, ages 7 to 14. πŸ”ŠπŸ”‰πŸ”ˆI will take a moment to share my story.πŸ“’πŸ“£

My children and I lived under bombardment and aggression. We had a safe home full of dreams and a bright future for my daughters.

But everything changed when the war on Gaza began. Our house, which we built with strength and effort before the war, was destroyed.

We lost our job, which was our only source of income. The journey of displacement and moving from one place to another began without the minimum necessities of life. We faced difficulties in providing healthy food and clean water. We lived in fear and terror. My daughters could no longer sleep from the intensity of fear.

My mother-in-law suffers from serious lung infections and chronic diseases, and we find it difficult to provide appropriate treatment for her, especially in the winter and the bitter cold. She is part of our family after losing her husband. We are now without shelter, moving from one place to another, and struggling to survive. Today we have no income, no life, and no work. We are determined to rebuild our dreams, secure our future, and rebuild our home. We cannot do this alone and we need your help in building our lives. Your support, no matter how small, can make a big difference. Thank you for helping us find hope on our journey.

Read it once in your life, and never regret it. βœ‹βœ…

Do you feel bored of the posts asking for help from Gaza? You’re right, but imagine our situation as we live this war day after day for 13 months. Do you think we’re tired too?!!
Asking for help is not easy; it’s very embarrassing, especially for a family that used to live a decent life. My husband and I completed our university education with distinction, worked in respectable jobs, and were used to helping others, not asking for help. But the war has turned our lives into a nightmare; we lost our home, our sources of income, and even our ability to provide the simplest of needs.
I'm Hanan. For the past 13 months, we have been struggling to get healthy food and medicine for my child, whose weak body was attacked by infection, and for my elderly mother-in-law, who fell into a coma for several days and almost lost her life due to anemia caused by our inability to provide healthy food, as prices have risen more than 10 times. Now, we have run out of everything. While you are reading my message, my family and I are trying to survive amidst all kinds of suffering.
What was once a beautiful dream and reality has now become a nightmare. Starvation is one thing, but starving, freezing, and being forced to flee in the middle of the night when tanks suddenly arrive in your area, running for your life and your family’s life under fire, leaving behind everything you built over the years, and returning after 5 months of suffering in displacement and tents to find that your home, where you lived your happiest moments, is nothing but rubble, is something completely different! πŸ’”πŸ˜“
Can you feel my broken heart now? Can you imagine what I’m going through at this moment? Everything I am living now cannot be described with words, and every moment here is filled with pain and fear. We desperately need your help, as we live in hope of escaping Gaza to save our lives and live safely away from the explosions.
You might feel powerless to stop this genocide, but you can certainly save my family. We appeal to your compassionate hearts to help us escape this catastrophe, which the human mind cannot even fathom.
Please share our campaign with your family and friends. This will help us reach those who can help us directly. Be the reason to bring hope back to our hearts β™₯️✨

Dear Friends, 🌷

I know you share my story out of love and humanity, and I am truly grateful for that. πŸ™πŸ’š

The painful truth is sharing alone does not feed the hungry or provide medicine for the sick.πŸ’”

Cost of a bag of flour is $300 which is the main source of food for my family and is needed weekly just to make bread. We live in a tent my child trembles from hunger and cold, and all I can do is pray. πŸ˜₯

Please, don’t just watch or share. Even a small donation could be a lifeline for a hungry child or a suffering patient. πŸ™

Don’t close your eyes to our suffering. We are calling upon your humanity.

The last donation 20 hours ago!! πŸ˜“

Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to buy some essential necessities that we couldn't do without, despite their high cost. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to feeding my child, even with a piece of bread πŸ™πŸ’š. Your generosity gives us hope in facing these indescribable catastrophic circumstances πŸ’”.

Our hope for survival comes from the generosity of your hearts. Your donations are the lifeline that keeps my family standing strong, They are our only source of income. Every contribution brings us closer to securing food and medicine for my family. Please, don’t leave us alone; your compassion is the light that dispels this darkness. βœ¨πŸ«‚

Dear friends,🌷

From the depths of my heart, I thank you for your support and assistance during our darkest times. You were the light that brought hope back to us when the world turned its back on us. πŸ«‚πŸ’š

Thank God, a truce has been agreed upon. Our joy is indescribable; finally, the bloodshed will stop, and the suffering of the innocent will come to an end. We will sleep without fear of being the next target. πŸ₯Ή

But our joy is incomplete; we are still without work or income, without a roof to protect our children from the cold and rain. Our torn tent barely shields our bodies from the harshness of winter, and the soaring prices deprive us of securing the simplest necessities of life, such as food, water, and medicine.πŸ˜“

Unfortunately, donations to my family’s campaign have been very few lately, and we are no longer able to get through this difficult period or provide for our essential needs.πŸ˜’πŸ’”

We appeal to your compassionate hearts to continue supporting us. Every donation, no matter how small, is a lifeline for us and our children. With your help, we can face this hardship. πŸ™πŸ’š

Updated on 3/18/2025
My friends, no words can truly describe the pain we are living through. The war has returned, more brutal than ever, mercilessly killing innocent people. The closed crossings have robbed us of our most basic right, a bite of food to ease our hunger after fasting for 15 hours in the holy month of Ramadan. πŸ˜“
My little child looks at me with hungry eyes, unable to understand why there is no food. My elderly mother-in-law is in a heartbreaking condition, and my unborn baby grows in a body weakened by hunger and deprivation. We are not living, we are fighting to survive.
Donations have drastically declined, and our suffering is only growing. Today, more than ever, we need your compassionate hearts to save us from a hardship beyond imagination. πŸ’”

The war has returned again, Gaza is under bombardment and my area is being subjected to heavy shelling. We have lost hope in our rights. We must evacuate this city where there is no security. Donate to my family again, you are our only hope.
