Told myself I wasn't gonna draw today, but I lied. I'm a liar. At least this was a small one.

Tried to keep myself from spending too long on doodling today, since I still got quite a bit of writing to do, but I wanted to draw a scene from today's fic!
The Lucid boys are back for today's @jonmartinweek prompt! They've moved into their new house and have their own little offices. Might as well use them for some role swap roleplay ❤️

It was an errant thought, verbalised without much consideration as Jon sat with Martin on the park bench, watching a black and white cat walk by along the fence. They were sharing a cup of coffee, sitting close to retain warmth as the cool early Spring air blew through their hair.
@candelasobscuras I saw your tags so thought I would write a short follow up about the cat they eventually chose!

“Martin.” Jon tugged at Martin's sleeve, pulling his attention from a little ginger kitten in the next enclosure over.
The sign had initially caught Jon's eye. It showed a slightly bedraggled looking black cat, with sharp green eyes with the name Sir Paws written along the top.

I'm so glad! I've been really enjoying writing them, even if it takes a little more time to decide on things since AUs like this are just sort of like that. They're my special little idiots ❤️
I have plans to write at least one, maybe two, bonus things for them for Jmart week, so more is on the way for them very soon!
After seeing Dragon!Jon with a cat, I gotta ask:
Would their dragon hoard include cats? Cause i feel like they would be a great cat
So Jon's hoard is mostly centered around information. So they collect books, scrolls, notes, etc. That's not always the case for Beholding dragons, some like Elias for example prefer collecting eyeglasses, telescopes, or maybe even shiny trinkets that sort of catch the eye.
But just like how every locally owned bookshop I've ever been in has a resident cat, I think Jon would benefit from a few. As much as their anatomy is closer to birds, they're very much just a slinky lil cat. They fit right in.

JonMartin Week Day 1: Pets & Cats // Feelings Realised
I was gonna draw a doodle that actually went with the fic I wrote for @jonmartinweek, but then got distracted with Dragon!Jon seeing a cat for the first time. So consider this a double!
I also wrote a fic for Day 1! A cute canon-ish SFW fic with cute cats and conversation.
