troubled teen industry

I usually dont put my feelings into my posts and make jokes but I can't with this one im sorry

in Kentucky the mayor Andy Beshear made an executive order that banned conversion therapy, well there's a bill that's being proposed and is moving forward that would override the executive order and make it legal for conversion therapy to be back in the state. I am devastated that this is even a question on if conversion therapy should be back or not, I'm actively crying as I write this as a survivor of conversion therapy and the trouble teen industry. I went 2 years ago, one time in the winter and one time in the summer. it was hell on earth, I have panic attacks constantly, nightmares almost every night, I can't run in the dark anymore and for the longest time I was scared shitless of adults. the only way I found out about this was my family celebrating that conversion therapy might come back to Kentucky and all I could think was "what the hell." please look into your states laws about the trouble teen industry and conversion therapy and see if you can do anything to stop this shit show so that other kids dont end up like me and my friends. I will list the effects its had on me and some of my friends

people I tried to stay in contact with since then - 2 suicides, cptsd, severe depression, etc etc.

Continuation to my last post since it was “too long”

SAFE act, Texas congressman chip roy could take away 69 million women's votes with this. Now when you first look at it then it seems nice till you notice this fatal flaw. You must have the same name as you did when you were born, aka if you have changed your last name due to getting married you might not be able to vote due to your name not matching your birth certificate. Or if you changed your first name you might not be able to vote due to needing your birth certificate to “authenticate that you are an american citizen”. And when you do change your name (first or last) it's up to the state on what to do next, say that you actually are american or that you aren't. A lil break from political jargon and a reminder that midterm elections are in 2026 and special elections are this year, please use your voice (loudly that means social media, your friends,calling them) and vote on how you want this country to go and please do your research it is their job to negotiate what we the people want so please do your research and vote for the one that is the best quality candidate that will help us. Now back to the program.

Core Group, which supports the rights of LGBTQ+ and intersex people around the world. Tr*mp has issued numerous anti-LGBTQ+ and particularly anti-transgender executive orders. These included, on his first day, one called “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government,” which denies the existence of trans, nonbinary, and intersex people. He has also cut foreign aid programs that help many LGBTQ+ and intersex people, along with those that assist people living with HIV or AIDS, and sought to ban gender-affirming care for minors and trans participation in school sports under their gender identity.
