Realizing that Phantom of The Opera is literally the perfect ship name for Amy and Metal Sonic. Allow me to explain.

The phantom represents Metal Sonic for him being a phantom of what Sonic himself is, being his ghost in a sense by being everything he was (or rather could have been). He was programmed with all of Sonic's thoughts and feelings (as literally said in his first appearance), and now that he's sentient, he has even more than that.

Amy represents the opera (or rather Christine but way better), being very eccentric and basically the polar opposite of Metal, just like how the actual characters. But, like I said, it's just surface level mostly because the play itself doesn't represent them that well, and plus I'm Christine's number one hater.

I really, really wanted Shadow to have a kid in the Pitayaverse, but having it be Silver causes a time-space paradox that hurts my brain. So I just cloned him and called it a day. Enjoy Wodahs (aka Echo) <3

so... i asked the sonic ai on character ai some basic questions on sonic lore and it came back with some.... interesting answers

starting with how sonic met his friends

tails is a super genius but apparently, he doesn't know a plane needs a propellor to fly

knuckles' ancestors are still alive and evil now, apparently

how the FUCK does anyone misunderstand that

ah yes, the dark gaia monsters. my favourite eggman minions

there's so much going on here. eggman didn't just blow the moon in half, he fucking DESTROYED it after he failed to colonize it. and apparently tails is either so smart or has supernatural powers because he can just fix the moon like its no problem

ah yes, my favourite sonic moment. when eggman shot sonic to the sun. truly an absolute classic

sonic adventure 2 never happened, shadow was just minding his own business and happened to run past sonic.

blaze's full name is apparently princess blaze tawns. who would've thought?

we got it all wrong guys, cream is actually a chao. so then... what does that make cheese?

I cannot express how much I love how Sonic is good trans rep for Trans Masc AND Trans Fem people, the entire point of sonic's character is the embodiment of freedom, to be yourself.

sonic opposes oppression and inhumanity, and actively makes sure that EVERYONE has the right and freedom to be their true self, sonic never judges her friends for who they are, and actively encourages them and lifts them up as themselves.

every good sonic story isnt even about her, the best Sonic stories are when she is helping another character, in Sonic Unleashed, the story focuses on Chip, in Sonic 06, the story focuses on Elise, in Sonic and the black knight, the story is about Merlina, and in my interpretation of sonic generations, it helps the younger version of sonic just a little bit discover their future and identity (maybe a little teeny bit)

so why should Sonic the Hedgehog EVER follow gender norms and bigotry. Be Yourself, no matter who that is.

I love Sonic, I love Sonic no matter what gender they are, what characterization they have, good or bad, i love them, because its still sonic, and i am still me.

Super Sonic is a powered-up form of Sonic the Hedgehog, who appeared in Sonic the Comic, the UK publication by Fleetway Editions. Super Sonic is a psychotic demon-like entity who manifests himself in Sonic’s body under conditions of extreme stress or exposure to Chaos Energy. Sonic frequently had to battle to keep this alter-ego in check, because Super Sonic’s immense destructive powers, hyper-aggression, sadistic humour and lack of restraint frequently endangered innocent civilians and even Sonic’s own friends. Indeed, Super Sonic seems to enjoy the prospect of killing Sonic’s friends: inissue #184 he deliberately holds back to prolong the pleasure of killing them.
