The withdrawals are hitting me hard tonight. I wanna see nace do their taxes together right now

Hi it's been a while but I was just thinking. Doesn't "people write the name of their beloved, seal it in a bottle, and send it out to sea so their souls can reunite if they so desire" sound a bit like Afterlife Tinder?

"If they so desire" is their version of "if they both swipe right."

after much serious discussion between myself @scarletslippers and @hucklebucket i think it's very important that we explore three equally possible options regarding ace's mysterious "real" name:

  • "ace is named ace because he's actually joe hardy and they just didn't have the rights" - a well-supported theory. ties a seemingly random addition to an established ensemble into its source material. move over frank and ned, it's finally joe's turn.
  • "ace is named ace because his real name is ned" - not impossible. has the potential for comedic gold when nick finds out only because he buys the claw and starts signing everyone's paychecks. here's how nedcy can still win.
  • "ace's real name is george and when he was hired at the claw george made him pick a new name on the spot and ace noticed one of the cooks playing solitaire" - galaxy brain. the man can only come up with old lady names, he panicked and now this is his life. you can't prove this isn't canon

I don't wanna @ anyone because I understand how fast things seem to move in today's landscape of streaming shows dropping entire seasons in one day, and networks pumping out new series constantly to try to attract more subscribers with no intent to actually maintain those shows over time but I just saw someone self-deprecatingly lament that they are still thinking about a show that ended almost a year ago, making fan art and playlists for it, and I want to be very clear:

you can still create fanworks when it comes to old media!! PLEASE do!! there are always going to be new fans who will appreciate it, and veteran fans who are dying for new content and new perspectives. also, less than a year is NOTHING. the original Star Trek series was on TV six decades ago and there are still people losing their minds over it, writing stories and reblogging gifsets daily, and that's only one example.

a fandom lasts as long as there are people who love a thing, even if it's only a handful of people. love what you love and write and draw and make gifs and playlists about it!
