Seonghwa put a glass of water in front of you, “here,” he said, “you cried a lot. You’ll get dehydrated if you don’t drink any water.”

You mumbled a thank you before taking a sip of the water. A sigh left your lips, “do you think I was childish back then?”

He hummed, “to be honest, I don’t think it’s childish but it is unprofessional.”

You nodded your head in agreement. You did react unprofessionally back there.

“However,” he added, “your colleague clearly just the same as unprofessional as you were.”

You looked at him upon hearing that. Clearly you didn’t, and probably will never, hear that from your colleagues. He rested his chin on his palm, “stealing someone’s idea instead of working together with them is unprofessional in my opinion. And she pushed your last string by saying you needed validation for your work when she is the one who stole your idea just make it worse for her.”

He smiled, patting your hair, “don’t worry about it. You’re the one who knows what to do with that data. You’re the one with the idea, right? Not her.”

“It’s her loss for breaking your trust. Because you’re the one who knows what to do with it, yet she did that instead of working together with you.”

You chuckled, “yeah, it’s her loss.”

“Exactly,” he laughed as he tucked your hair behind your ear, “anyways since your boss and colleagues couldn’t say it so I will,” his hand moved to the top of you head and patted it softly, “thank you for your hard work for the company, Yeeun. I’m so proud of you.”

A giggle left your lips, “thank you for making me feel better.”

wanderlust

Yunho opens both of his eyes. The sun rays from the window waking him up from his slumber. He sits down and sighs. It’s been a week since he walks away from his home. Leaving behind his childhood, his family. Why did he do that again? Ah, right. Because he doesn’t want to own his father’s business. Because he’s tired being treated nice just because he comes from a wealthy family. Because he just wants to be himself and not tied to his family’s status for once in his life.

He looks at himself in the mirror once he finished taking a shower. His fingers tried to do his tie (which he fails) before he decided to ditch that thing from his look. If he didn’t runaway, he would be eating breakfast with his mom while getting ready to go his dad’s office. The skyscraper building that he always finds intimidating since he was a child. But here he is, in a small room, a random landlord thankfully willing to give to him. And thankfully enough, the landlord is a kind old lady who gives him some foods she cooks too.

“Good morning, Mrs. Choi,” Yunho greets as he bows to his landlord.

“Oh, Yunho! Come, sit here. I cook chicken soup today.”

“Ah, thank you so much, Mrs. Choi. I will pay these foods back, I promise.”

“What are you saying? You don’t have to pay for them!”

A thin smile forms on his face, “I have to. Once I get a job, I’ll make sure to pay it back for you.”

“Right, how’s your job seeking?”

Yunho hummed, the smile turns into a tired one, “it’s kind of hard getting a job since there isn’t much vacancy around.”

Mrs. Choi nods her head, “even in a big city, it is hard to find a job these days. Moreover,” she looks at the young adult eating in front of her, “you move into a much smaller cities than your hometown. It is way harder to get a job here.”

“Right,” Yunho chuckles, “but I’ll get a job soon. I will try my best to get one.”

“If you want to, you can try going to the West part of the city.”

angel’s kiss

Your eyes fixed on the reddish mark on your lover's skin while he's sleeping safe and sound next to you. The faded red spot, which usually covered by layers of make up, shown clearly right in front of you. You'd like to say it is a privilege to witness his birthmark all the time.

Unconsciously, your fingers trace them lightly. His soft skin makes you jealous at times, but considering the care he puts on his skin, it is understandable for him to have such a healthy skin. Slowly, he opened his eyes upon feeling your touch on his face.

A smile crept on your face, "hi," you whispered.

"Hi," he greeted back. A soft smile on his face.

"Did I wake you up?" though it is just the two of you in the room, you two have the habit of whispering when you talk on the bed. It somehow makes the feeling more intimate.

"No," he sighed, "I'm getting used to you touching my birthmark."

A soft giggle left your lips, "you know, I read somewhere that birthmark is the spot where the angel kissed you."

He hummed, "I also read birthmark is a mark being left by the devil."

The shade of orange and a bit of crimson colored the sky in the prettiest way as the sun is setting down. The voice of the waves hitting the rock filling Yunho’s ears as he walked down the shore. A smile plastered his face as he seeks for warmth from the sun.

His eyes watch the horizon as a memory flash his mind. The sound of the water no longer heard as his mind play the sound of your laughter like a broken record in his memory. Your wide grin as you run towards the sea with your slippers on your hand. The wind blows through your hair, making it dance with its rhythm. The scenery of you, in the happiest state, was being recorded by Yunho in his brain and his eyes never blink for he never wanted to miss a single second of it.

“Don’t you ever feel jealous of the sunset?” you asked him.

Yunho shook his head quickly, “nope.”

You furrowed your eyebrows, “really?”

He smiled, “why would I get jealous of a scenery?”

“Well,” you looked back at the sky in front of you, “no matter where you see it, the sunset is always pretty.”

It’s overrated, he wanted to say. But he kept it to himself, knowing how much you love the art of the Creator. He stopped his step once he saw you stop. You close both of your eyes, a small smile on your face as you breathe in the saltwater air. He knew he was in love with you, every single thing about you. But at that moment he knew the phrase “head over heels” is an understatement for how he feels about you.

Yunho was falling hard. He didn’t trip and fall, he confidently jumps without hesitation and he enjoys every second of the thrill from the fall.

“Can you feel it?” you asked him, pulling him back from his own bubble.
