Hello All,
My friend @mariampoetry wanted to host a donation campaign for Yaser Hamad!
Yaser is a Rafah native and a prolific poet, writing songs for big name Palestinians singers like Muhammad Assaf (who sang the iconic song, "Dammi Falastini")! Here's a song he wrote for Assaf called "Ya Banat Bladna," which praises the girls and women of Palestine and their steadfastness.
Yaser's fiance was killed early on in the genocide and now he lives in a tent with his two daughters. Within the coming week by Sunday April 6th, we hope to raise $1000 USD to send to Yaser's family.
For those who are not aware, Mariam, the organizer, is a dear friend of mine in real life and a renowned Palestinian poet herself. She has been doing these donation campaigns to raise money for various friends of hers in Gaza, focusing on highlighting artists and their amazing talent. She has successfully sent money to multiple Palestinian artists through these campaign drives and hopes that everyone would be willing to help out with another campaign.
Please do donate if you can, or even just spread the word!

Today, my family was displaced under heavy bombardment after a three-day siege in a tent. They left behind everything: clothes, food, and medicine. Please look at us with compassion. Do something. Participate. Protest. Donate.
We can't buy anything, everything costs 10x now that the fighting is back.
A bag of flour costs $800, if available. Due to the intensity of the war, this story hasn't been covered in the media, so please be our voice. I don't want to die anonymously, please.
Now due to the rain and wind our dilapidated tent collapsed and now my family went to our neighbors tent (22 people in a 4*6 meter tent) I leave you to imagine this tragic situation
The situation is getting worse day by day.
They’re extremely close. Please do what you can. This situation is tragic and they are beyond soggy of your attention and donation. They’ve spent too much time suffering. We can at least try to help.
Contact me on Pinterest or Twitter if you wish to be removed.
I am close friends with the Al-Habil family, whose situation I have discussed under our “#ibtisam al habil” tag. There is still a lot of concern for the youngest child Nour, who is a disabled teen about whose situation you can learn more under our “#Nour Al habil” tag.
Torrential rains have flooded the streets of Gaza and all but destroyed the family’s tent. They are inundated with freezing, extremely contaminated water, which is extremely dangerous for 15 y/o Nour.
Nour is immunocompromised due to her heart condition. These flood waters carry gangrene, cholera, and polio bacteria among numerous others, as well as many viruses and pollutants.
We were about halfway through raising the funds for the tent when Nour’s mother, Ibtisam, suffered a herniated disc after sustaining an injury while moving a barrel of water. She is in severe pain, and can barely move. This is not only miserable and unhealthy for her, it also prevents her from caring for Nour.
In addition to the ongoing $2,000 USD needed for shelter, the family now needs $300 USD (about $433 CAD) to help Ibtisam manage her pain and be able to move.
New temporary goal: $52,971 CAD
Currently: $50,804 CAD
Need to raise: $2,167 CAD (about $1,500 USD)
Nour needs to receive this treatment IMMEDIATELY!!!! The treatment costs $800 USD, about $1,142 CAD. We need to raise this money URGENTLY or young Nour could go into HEART FAILURE!!
PLEASE donate what you can, and share the family’s campaign as widely as possible!! Copy and paste this link across all your social media platforms and ask your followers and friends for support!! LINK: https://www.gofundme.com/f/4qzqg-help-a-family-from-gaza
Currently: $56,240 CAD
New temporary goal: $57,382 CAD
Wake up... A cup... get your tits sucked...

if I was let into a "top secret" group chat where someone I think is a despot is planning global military actions I actually would not simply say oops sorry, I'll see myself out, and don't worry I promise not to tell the public all the horrid things you're planning, just that you're planning them.
american journalists are such boot licking simps that this is what passes for courage. people actually think this is brave lmao. it's so embarrassing.
this is so real, the thing that stuck out most to me about how the story is delivered is that the way Jeffrey Goldberg describes the Houthis in the beginning of the article:
is totally consistent with the way the way that Pete Hegseth describes the ideal messaging for the Trump administration with regard to the Houthis in the exact same article like ten paragraphs down
Update since the last post. These pictures speak for themselves! Mona's work is a testament to her generosity and her dedication to her community. And you can help her keep this going! Please consider donating to help the people of Khan Younis!!! Remember, every dollar counts! P*ypal.

None of this is possible without Mona and her family's diligence and work. If you would like to send her a thank you note or well wishes, please include it in the replies to this post, in your tags, or in the comments! She always appreciates them ♡
"This is Hossam’s team, and we are sharing his final message :
“If you’re reading this, it means I have been killed—most likely targeted—by the Israeli occupation forces. When this all began, I was only 21 years old—a college student with dreams like anyone else. For past 18 months, I have dedicated every moment of my life to my people. I documented the horrors in northern Gaza minute by minute, determined to show the world the truth they tried to bury. I slept on pavements, in schools, in tents—anywhere I could. Each day was a battle for survival. I endured hunger for months, yet I never left my people’s side.
By God, I fulfilled my duty as a journalist. I risked everything to report the truth, and now, I am finally at rest—something I haven’t known in the past 18 months . I did all this because I believe in the Palestinian cause. I believe this land is ours, and it has been the highest honor of my life to die defending it and serving its people.
I ask you now: do not stop speaking about Gaza. Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories—until Palestine is free.”
— For the last time, Hossam Shabat, from northern Gaza."
