Hi! I know this post is oldish, but I stumbled over it and you didn't get many responses, so here is a little handful -
Surrender(ao3) @moonlitbirdie Birdee has LOTS of Joel, for many tastes, this happened to be my favorite, and I think what you are looking for)
I have a couple of short Joel fics myself, they are soft and fluffy with a reader his age.
There are many more, but this is a start!
Heyyyy I like almost never self-rec but…
Survivor Blues (while chronically ongoing) is my baby. And while Reader’s age isn’t specified, in my mind as I write her she’s within a few years of Joel and has aches, pains, scars, and grays, as well as regrets and things that haunt her. Oh, yeah! And she bakes a mean sourdough loaf.
The Contractor is my newer Joel series, and Reader doesn’t really play a part until the end of part 2 and onward, but I promise she is Joel’s age, and that will be very apparent as it unfolds.
