Coming back all of a sudden with an Oblivion fanart. Finished the main quest in first days of this year and still can't get over Martin. So there's some AU-imagine thing of Hero of Kvatch meeting Martin (or his spirit). Didn't give it much thought, just wanted to draw a reunion of good friends.

Uhm hmm... so many people liked my Kyne's Dove post but I failed to mention when I had made it that the Kyne's Dove part comes from an Crown Store showcase description for the Dragon Warrior costume
I did reblog it once to explain but... uhh I don't think anyone saw it. I feel like I'm gonna disappoint so many people with the information of it being a description for a costume and not lore that can be found in the games. Which means this is very unlikely to be actually canon
Really depends on if the developers ever mention it again in the games which is rather unlikely
I just found it cute and had to share it in case some other people wanted to use it for their fanfics as I think it actually works pretty well with the canon lore. Dove does almost sound like Dov but again isn't really canon to call them like that

It’s always pretty obvious when someone doesn’t know that books in Skyrim (and other tes games) sometimes lie just by how they talk about different events in the lore
#the coolest thing about Elder Scrolls lore is how religion and history and even science have conflicting stories about almost everything#in real life people insist the Earth is flat#in Elder Scrolls someone insisted that interracial children don't exist and that children just have the race of their mother#both of these things can be disproven fairly easily but someone still wrote it down and someone still believes it#because you can't just believe every single thing that you read#seriously though isn't Notes on Racial Phylogeny disproven by the existence of Bretons?#though I suppose it's probably not common knowledge to the casual tes fan that Bretons are slightly elven

here's my take on clavicus vile! kept his design mostly inspired by the ESO appearance
-> the coins attached to his robe are the same coins that mortals toss into wishing wells - he just extracts them afterwards and keeps em on his person -> when he traverses the night sky his sash falls behind him, and all the coins twinkle, which creates the illusion of a shooting star (that people wish upon! :D azura doesn't like it)
his daggerfall design sort of inspired me to make a timeline of his appearance changing, i think it would be cool for clavicus to be a daedra that visually "grows up"
