You know what really fucking Annoys Me about internet censorship is stuff like swear words being heavily censored because that's entirely an American cultural hangup being forced on the rest of us. I don't know a single country where swearing is as taboo as it is in America. In fact most languages have swear words that would have the same effect on an American as giving a Victorian chimney sweep a pepsi max cherry.

Demonitizing Irish people's videos for having swear words in them is a kind of hate crime and psychological torture I think.

Hardly anyone benefits from the imperialism our own country enacts tho. Hundreds of women have died painfully and after great suffering following the overturn of Roe v Wade, Black people exist, trans people exist and it's especially grueling for trans minors. Just saying. Just because the country is a weapon aimed at other people doesn't mean it's not also holding a weapon to its own citizens. Only billionaires and the wealthy are able to possibly benefit right now. Arguably, it's more important than ever to vocally criticize and disparage America as it exists right now

You know those white guys who get huffy whenever someone says they benefit from white privilege and they start going off about how white privilege isn't real because being white hasn't protected them from being poor, or chronically ill, or whatever? You know how we all agree that that's a pretty disingenuous thing to do? That's literally what you're doing right now. Just saying.

Just because your lives in the imperial core aren't an idyllic utopia free from all oppression doesn't erase the fact that, like it or not, the spoils of imperialism subsidize american consumption in ways that go completely unquestioned to you all. When there is a non-zero number of countries that were subjected to military coups and turned into right-wing military dictatorships by your government just to guarantee that the bananas in your grocery store are available year-round and cost a fraction of a dollar, that's not "hardly anyone" benefitting from the effect of imperialism, and the existence of racism, sexism and transphobia doesn't make it not so.
