I'm cx, by the way. Thirtysomething, lesbian, she/her/hers, living in the UK. I'd be more fancy with my theme if only I knew how.

Rocky Horror is turning 50 next month and people still act like being gay was invented by Ellen in 1997

But honestly! Renowned French poet Théophile de Viau wrote the poetic ode to King James titled "The Duke of Buckingham," containing the immortal lines "One man fucks Monsieur le Grand de Bellegarde/Another fucks the Comte de Tonnerre/And it is well known that the King of England/Fucks the Duke of Buckingham" exactly 400 years ago and people still act like being gay was invented by Oscar Wilde in 1890

Niankhkhnum and Khnumhotep were buried together in the 25th century BC and people still act like being gay was invented by renowned French poet Théophile de Viau 400 years ago

Gilgamesh and Enkidu "loved each other like man and wife" in 2700 BC and ppl STILL act like being gay was invented by Niankhkhnum and Khnumhotep in the 25th century BC

buck’s pov of eddie: coolest hottest most awesome amazing guy on the planet everything he does is amazing and everyone can see how great he is and everyone should be in love with him and he can do no wrong and if he DOES do something wrong no he didn’t he literally has a silver star

eddie irl: world’s most annoying uber driver

eddie’s pov of buck: most stable, trustworthy, grounded guy, mature and thoughtful, first person you go to in a crisis, gives great advice without a thought for his own gain, basically the ideal partner

buck irl: crashes all the way out the minute eddie leaves town, drunkenly hooks up with his ex, says very unhinged and mean things and makes his sister’s life a living hell

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: 9-1-1 (TV) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Evan "Buck" Buckley/Eddie Diaz (9-1-1 TV), Evan "Buck" Buckley/Original Male Character(s) Characters: Evan "Buck" Buckley, Eddie Diaz (9-1-1 TV), Christopher Diaz (9-1-1 TV), Original Male Character(s), Henrietta "Hen" Wilson, Howie "Chimney" Han, Ravi Panikkar, Maddie Buckley Additional Tags: Episode Tag, Post-Episode: s08e12 Disconnected (9-1-1 TV), Past Evan "Buck" Buckley/Tommy Kinard, Jealous Eddie Diaz (9-1-1 TV), Jealous Christopher Diaz (9-1-1 TV), Angst with a Happy Ending, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, the Canonical 118 Groupchat, Mutual Pining, Christopher Diaz Comes Back from Texas (9-1-1 TV), Eddie Diaz Comes Back from Texas (9-1-1 TV), Getting Together, First Kiss, a little bit of crazygirl Eddie as a treat Summary:

For some reason, everyone’s much more chill about Buck hooking up with Tommy than they are about him dating Rafa, which given all the drama around not letting Buck message Tommy when they broke up seems kind of fucked up. Rafa’s a genuinely nice guy, and they’re taking it pretty slow because of Chance, so it’s not like he’s rushing into a serious relationship for once.

“I’m not saying he’s not nice,” says Hen exasperatedly.

Chim exchanges a look with her before saying, “Honestly him being nice is kind of the problem.”

“What is that supposed to mean?” asks Buck, righteously outraged.

----

Episode tag to 8x12 Disconnected, where Buck ends up dating the single father from the first call, and everyone (up to and including Eddie) is super normal and cool about it.

@leaving-earth requested the least seen movies. So here we have a list of the top 100 films that tumblr users reported as having heard of but not having seen per results on @haveyouseenthismovie-poll.

TW: A couple of films famous for racism are on this list so please enter at your own risk.

Given the number of titles on this list that belong to relatively obscure films which later received much more popular remakes, I have to wonder how many respondents are unwittingly inflating their tally because they didn't notice it says Little Shop of Horrors (1960) and not Little Shop of Horrors (1986).

there are two wolves inside me and one wolf is “buck saving a single father and his son in the first call of the ep” and the other wolf is “eddie not getting hired bc the cap is scared he’ll follow in his predecessor’s footsteps and move back to be with his partner within four months”

Hey I just wanted to ask if it would be cool if I posted about some of your buddie fics that I really liked? I finished reading it and was like omg this is so good I have to share but I know some people really don't like when others promote their fics Let me know and I can totally make a note for the future reguarding what your boundaries are!

Hi! This is such a sweet question, but yes, I’d not only be fine with it but would be thrilled - please tag me! Also, really truly glad you enjoyed it!! 🥰

For the record, both for you and anyone else curious, I’m always happy for people to include me in fic recs/do art or pod fics/write spin offs etc, though I’d always like to be tagged if it’s posted publicly bc I’m nosy curious, only real hardlines are reposting elsewhere, putting on goodreads etc, or feeding my work to AI

Anonymous asked:

ok I used to watch 911 a long long long time ago bc my grandparents watch it and we lived together. do you think Eddie and bucky are fr gonna get together. this is like fandom gossip to me.

okay one) that’s a v cute 911 backstory for you, love that, two) I really and genuinely think they are bc like. literally the story beats are all pointing that way. I truly don’t see how this goes anywhere else I genuinely think they’re doing a purposeful comphet arc for eddie and working towards a feelings realisation for buck and it’s actually in canon going to happen

thinking once again about the eddie/abby parallels. about buck’s partners needing to leave, not because of buck, but because they can’t stay in LA anymore, about buck supporting that even knowing he’ll be left behind, about buck moving into their homes only once they’ve left.

about the fundamental difference being that buck was confident that abby was coming back and she never did, and likewise he is confident that eddie isn’t coming back (and he will)
