learned my lesson

This is a side blog. I'm not always around, but queue is on until it runs out.

This has become a place for processing my grief as a fan of Liam.

etalkctv: He definitely will be missed 💔

AJ on his fondest memories with Liam: "This was the most quality time that I really got to spend with Liam and from day one of us being on set together, we were inseparable. We talked about anything and everything from music, to sobriety, to life, relationships. Shared funny anecdotes about our bands and crazy things that we did or fun things we did, but he was just such an interesting person. I could sit and just let him talk. Even though there was an age gap, I got educated. I literally got educated, and for me one of the most touching things was, he had just finished a brand new album. No one has heard it thus far. He sent it to me to ask my opinion on it, and I was like, you don't need my opinion, bro. You know what you're doing, but it was a beautiful body of work. I hope and pray that the world gets to hear it - for his family, for his fans, but he was a true light. He lit up every room that he walked into. Gotta love the good ol' dry British humour. He was very intuitive. He was very witty, and he really brought so much to the show for all the groups. He was just so well-spoken and was never talking down to any of these artists. He was so inspiring to all the groups, and yeah, he will be missed for sure."

Liam x Avicii was one of my dream collabs, now one of my roman empires 😔 Avicii was a musical genius and so innovative. I so feel Avicii would’ve known what to do with a versatile voice like Liam’s, really utilize his powerhouse vocals, his big vocal range, technique and esp his ability to imbue his singing with emotional expressivity! 💞

I like to think they would’ve vibed on a personal level and could’ve related to each other too 🥺 The struggles they dealt with have similarities imo. Like how they were overworked far past their limits, and suffered from a lot of health issues created or exacerbated by fame. Both a little unusual, amazing natural musical talents, and sensitive souls ❤️‍🩹

I ghostwrote this. 100% agreed. They would've made magic together and related to each other in a very human way. I always thought Liam, Avicii, AJ, and Robbie would've connected and understood each other in a lot of ways. Even JBiebs in some ways if we're going there.

If there's existence beyond this life, hope Avicii and Liam are both free and at peace now, surrounded by love and creating magic. 🤍

I suppose it will depend on who owns the rights to Liam’s music if/when LP2 is released. If they haven’t already, I hope that Liam’s family (meaning his parents & sisters & Cheryl bc she’s the mother of his son) can acquire the rights. I think the rights of Liam’s music being in the hands of his family is the best way to make sure everything regarding the posthumous album release is handled as respectfully as possible. Like with Avicii after he passed away, his family owned the rights to his music so they handled the release of his final studio album.

Yes. That would be ideal and the right thing to do. I hope it's what happens, and if they're comfortable with it, they can release it one day, because it does appear he was particularly proud of this album.

Oh, Avicii 🖤 Still hurting over that one 💔 That's a collab I would've been interested in tbh.

More from AJ on Liam re: BTB filming:

"I've not deleted it [recording of their last chat]. I've kept it on my phone as a constant reminder of who he was. He was a very positive, uplifting person. He had a real quick wit about him. I don't know if it was the British humour or just him as a person. I think that was one of the things that him and I really, really gelled immediately with. Both of us were sarcastic and fun and funny, and always making jokes and pranks and just having fun with everybody on set.

But also as an artist, he was extremely talented. Not only as a singer-performer, but as a songwriter-producer, and he truly did light up the room when he'd walk on set.

We've known each other over the years since 1D started, but this was probably the most lengthy time that we've ever really been in the same room talking about everything from music to sobriety to life.

He hit me up when we had a few days off from shooting and sent me what would've been his most recent solo album, just to ask my opinion on the music... And I thought it was an insane body of work. It was so good. I hope somewhere down the road, somehow people get to hear it, especially all the 1D fans."

np2788: 9 months ago today, our lives changed forever. I still find it incredibly hard to process what happened. I’m not sure I ever fully will, or even want to.

Liam, you are the most incredible person. For those of us lucky enough to know and love you, our lives were truly blessed. Today, the world gets to see just a glimpse of your passion and talent and wow, you are amazing in this show.

You cared so deeply about the people around you. You wanted to make a difference, and you are lighting up that stage like you were born to do. You were made to be a judge, to guide, to encourage, and to let your voice be heard. Watching you in this show, I’ve never been more proud.

I just wish you got to see it. It’s everything we knew it would be when we were at filming. This show will forever hold a special place in my heart because it’s one of the last times I saw you, and I got to witness you shine so bloody brightly, but it’s also allowed me to still feel close to you.

I love you so much, and I miss you even more. I hate that this happened. 💔

I just saw the post from two weeks ago in which you talk about death. You say you hope death is like sleeping with only good dreams, no nightmares.

That's what I hope, too. I have read some fanfiction about death and the most heartbreaking are the ones where the dead person doesn't know they're dead. They can see the living but not interact with them. They miss being alive and they miss their loved ones. Usually in the end they move on but reading them has really made me think.

I really hope death is like sleeping and that we can't remember and miss our loved ones who are still alive. I hope dead people don't stay around to watch our lives and miss us, I hope they are resting and don't have worries nor sadness anymore. It's enough that we living miss them and cry for them and worry how to carry on without them. It'd be so heartbreaking if they were doomed to feel the same.

I agree with you so much. If death is to be peaceful, you have to forget and move on, or be unconscious and rest. There's simply no other way. If you remember and know your loved ones are suffering your loss but you can't do anything about it, there's no peace in that. I figure it's either lights out or it's something else and there's no memory of our existence here.

We know scientifically our energy goes on and simply transforms. The question then becomes, does our conscience go with it. My take is it doesn't, or there is no peace. Perhaps there's a greater conscience not tied to the human brain, but we'll only know when we reach the end of the journey here.

Sometimes I envy religious people who are truly sure of what they believe in. It must be comforting. I do enjoy the idea of seeing our loved ones again. I'd take even just one more moment with them, to hug them and tell them I love them and I'm thankful they were in my life.

We'll see what becomes of us. For now, we remember those we've lost and celebrate their life and hang on to the hope that in the end, there's only peace, freedom, and love. 🤍
