It's a Writblr

@itsawritblr

Blog is done, because I'm a full-time, professional writer busy writing. And because I prefer the company of grown-ups. Get off social media and go fucking write, posers.

the worst part of being a writer is that you have to write ๐Ÿ’”

If you really feel this way about writing, you're not a writer. You're a

You're someone who wants to be seen as a writer without doing what makes a writer a writer.

A true writer LIVES to write. LOVES writing. MUST write or life is miserable.

So either stop posing and STFU or fucking write.

do people have no shame anymore?

Popping in only in reaction to this.

One of the reasons I don't have anything to do with younger writers is this kind of shit. Using technology that steals from original creators like me and treating it as if it's the same as writing using your own imagination and your own ideas.

It's bad enough that too many writers don't see plagiarism as wrong. Now they proudly and openly announce that they don't have the talent to create original work, so they'll use a computer that gleans from other people's creations to do it for them.

Not only don't they care, but their readers don't care.

I am so fucking glad that my publishers have nothing to do with AI created work. And they receive submissions like crazy from these lazy children.

Asshole who use AI consider themselves talented. But put them in a room with a REAL writer, with only a pen and paper, no phone, no computer, no electricity, and give them one hour to write a story. I can guarantee who'll come up with the better one.

But these morons don't care about quality. They can't tell the difference between a ChatGPT story and The Great Gatsby. And they don't care.

Ray Bradbury predicted this in Fahrenheit 451. He knew it wasn't the government that would turn people against good books. It was a lazy populace who wanted shorter, faster, easier stories to consume like candy.

Fuck AI writers and readers.
