I havenโ€™t even played Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, but I saw a screenshot of this tired looking man and instantly loved him. @drunkenmantis told me this was Larry, then we started bouncing ideas of this overworked man finally taking a vacation to Alola XDย 

ย The beginning dialogue between Nanu and Larry was directly taken from Mantis >w> THANK YOUย 

ย I have a small headcanon that Larryโ€™s casual clothes are bright and tacky, but he rarely gets a chance to wear them due to the dress code for work and heโ€™s ALWAYS working. The little bit of flair he gets to have is the tie with the cloud pattern because it blends with the suit.

#052.5A - Meowth were originally introduced to the Alola region as a gift to royalty; the luxurious royal lifestyle soon led these Meowth to diverge from their origins and become selfish, prideful, and captious. When the Alolan monarchy fell, the rare Alolan Meowth went feral and, over several generations, grew to be a common sight in the wild. Conceited and cunning, Alolan Meowth look down on others and have a tendency towards cruelty, choosing to torture weakened prey rather than finishing them off. Although their velvet-soft fur and round face remain a symbol of wealth, these Pokemon are formidable battlers, unafraid of fighting dirty.
