I'm risking sounding like a broken record but please bear with me for a second:

I'll be delaying posting my art on here (and my other social platforms) until I've uploaded a substantial number of blog posts on my website.

I'm still organising big essential life changes, and besides doing project work, freelancing and sustaining creativity in general, I have no energy to maintain a public profile right now. Life's rough, but I'm hoping it will settle sooner than later.

I've also finally accepted that I am a one-thing-at-a-time person. Which means I can either create, or I can prepare to post what I've created. I can't switch between them frequently, or both lose traction. It needs to be processed in batches.

At the very least, I hope to get around to responding to everyone's tags on my existing posts, but that will happen when it happens.

The only place I do keep up to date is my newsletter, where you can now access past emails in an archive! So if you wanted to read about Hateship updates, how Thok turned from a cold guy to a flirt expert, or a monster who's bottling up too much, then you're welcome to sign up.

Just over a week ago, the 8th and 9th of February, I tabled for the first time in many years at Kaiga Convention in Melbourne!

The preparation was a bit overwhelming for me so I didn't get a chance to announce beforehand (thank you @prettyflyshyguy, my good table buddy, for covering my bases there), but I'm incredibly proud to have pulled this off after such a long dry spell.

I was selling a variety of monstrous and skeletal designs across prints, jewellery and stickers, including DOOM monsters, gothic horrors and a smattering of characters like Venom, the Arbiter and Cad Bane. It was so great to see people excited over these various items, most surprisingly I had about three come up to me to gush about Skulduggery Pleasant. How about that!

This time, to give you a proper heads-up, I will be tabling at The Game Expo, Melbourne, on the 22nd and 23rd March! Once table positioning is all confirmed, I'll let you know.

If you're not a local, I will be looking into setting up an online store soon. And personal commissions will be available too. So stay tuned for those. ✨

Kaicon shenanigans and my incredibly crammed half table!

I need to rework it a bit for the next event cause stuff can be improved - I want to build a bit more breathing room for stock, conglomerate some of the price signage and have it larger. Probs gonna build an awkward cubby for Supanova and have more side boards and go super vertical.

Aaaaandddd some new stuff I'm putting together to prepare to sell at a local shopfront in the city.

That pesky little Furby should come visit again next time. I think all my monsters were a veeeerrrrryyyy good influence on him, in company. :))))

Happy Valentine's day! 🌹 Hope your date is far more selfless and much less risky than this guy. And where dates aren't available, hope you've had/are having (depending on your timezone) some friendly company~

This also means it's the second Hateship anniversary (for the demo)! This past year I made much less progress than I would've liked, but my excuse is I moved out and in the wave of that event, so many other things had to be organised and managed.

But, since last year's update, here's where we are at now:

  • Added another character, Zaktan, to those finished with writing, for a total of three, with one in progress.
  • Avak's placeholder assets are at 58, with only about 8 left to go.
  • Preparing some additional sketches and illustrations for merch and promotion. 👀

All things considered, I'm glad I could still keep something of a momentum going rather than a full stop.

I'm prepping to get back to posting online soon, but in the meantime, get monthly updates on the project here.
