adults disciplining children: i think i will communicate with this brand new human in the loudest, rudest, most obnoxious and socially off-putting way possible

adults disciplining children: i think i will behave in ways that are completely, radically unacceptable in literally any other scenario

adults disciplining children: welcome to earth! for the next ten years i will treat you in ways that i would not dare treat any other person. i do not treat other people this way because i know it is bad and wrong. hope you understand.

captured from an ambulance. captured. from an ambulance. do not stop speaking about palestine please

As of 25th March 2025, released and afaik receiving medical attention necessitated by his having been viciously assaulted.

They targeted, kidnapped, assaulted and injured him - and issued official outright lies about him, of course - because they can, to show they can, to intimidate, to terrorise.

We know who the terrorists are here. IDF, illegal occupiers, Israeli police, Israeli government.

When birds die and go to heaven do they get a second pair of wings or do they get to try out some other cool form of locomotion

Does my mom's dead and virtuous cockateel get to have wheels like a tonka truck

you guys are so fucking stupidddd omg "rapists and pedophiles should be chemically castrated, this is a good thing" quick tell me about historical precedents of this idea and who or what ideology they are connected to......... 🤔

and the thing is you can't argue with these idiots bc they always ""shut down"" every argument with "ummm so you support rapists and pedophiles" like wow guys great job convincing me you're not a reactionary who will cheer fascists as long as they use the right words. i'm sure you actually arrived to this conclusion based on actual reasoning and not revenge fantasies.

IN CASE you don't know why this is bad and would like to bc you aren't a stupid reactionary weirdo:

  1. rape and child molestation have historically been the accusation leveled against any group the group in power doesn't like, exactly because it's a heinous accusation that makes people lose their critical thinking abilities
  2. this includes: gay people being painted as child molesters, black men lynched for allegedly molesting white women, and many more examples.
  3. it is crucial that people will twist the meaning of words to fit the situation. if a black man looks too long at a white woman it is flirting, which is basically the same as molestation. a gay person existing near a child is a sex crime against children, because being gay is inherently sexual. and so on.
  4. when conservatives say "protect the children", this is a dogwhistle. they are counting on you to lose your critical thinking because sex crimes, especially those against children are so heinous.
  5. it is also crucial that these laws NEVER come from an actual intent to protect children/women. the real intent is always, ALWAYS weaponizing it against marginalized groups.
  6. why? because once you have a created a group you can act in inhumane ways towards with full support from the populace (in this case, pedophiles and rapists), it is now in the state's vested interest to classify its opponents as part of that group.

"trans men can't use tranny, that's a slur for trans women!" "trans men can't use t4t because it was originally meant for trans lesbians!" you sound like a chronically online 14 year old 'queer activist' tiktoker who thinks that bigotry always stays on target and that queerness can be neatly put into boxes

radfems / terfs get blocked on sight. i'm not going to argue with you or try to explain things you don't care to try to understand.

Some women are conditioned to be fragile and weak, and to believe that it's a sin to outperform a man. Her feminism would involve allowing women to be strong.

Some women are expected to be strong at times when they can't. Her feminism would involve reassuring her that it's okay to not be strong.

Some neurodivergent people are raised to believe that they're too stupid to ever amount to anything. Their disability activism would involve reassuring them that they're capable.

Some neurodivergent people are raised to believe that they're smart and gifted, and are expected to live up to impossible standards. Their disability activism would involve allowing them to fail, make mistakes, be stupid, etc.

Some children are constantly reminded "you're the child, I'm the adult" in order to deny their autonomy. Their youth rights activism would involve treating them like an adult at times when they feel ready for it.

Some children are treated like adults in order to justify increased expectations or to downplay abuse against them. Their youth rights activism would involve allowing them to be a child.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution to oppression. Each individual person's experience is different. Whatever trauma is caused by their oppression, the activism should focus on undoing it.

"ohh 00s diet culture isn't back because of ozempic, you're overreacting"

idk i keep seeing previously size-inclusive brands remove plus-sized versions of their clothes from their catalogues entirely, even lines specifically aimed at bigger sizes are cutting their size range down and chopping the bigger ones. i keep seeing mean skinny tiktokers get famous because they said something rude about fat people. when i ask my doctor about weight loss (which my country's gender treatment clinic requires before i can access even preliminary talks about hrt), i'm immediately offered drugs about it - drugs which, according to the doctor, we don't know the long-term effects of. but surely! surely it can't be worse than being fat!

like why are people acting surprised? we've made being extremely wealthy the aspirational aesthetic to strive for, made 'being skinny and having a lot of time and money to stay beautiful' a not only viable but lucrative carreer for people, and then released a drug that is wildly expensive and will make people thin.

of course people are gonna make being thin the ultimate status symbol again - it more than ever before signals wealth and leisure-time.

like, do you think it's a coincidence that people are back to constantly spouting 'nothing tastes as good as skinny feels' again? and pretending being fat is a matter of lacking self-control around cake or whatever? as if people haven't spent decades trying to get these fucks to understand that actually healthy produce and the time to maintain your body are extreme luxuries in our society?

anyway my broke fat ass can't find pants i like and can afford because the size-inclusive lines i'd have shopped at previously have axed anything over a size xl

and like. i'm not even that fat. what the fuck do people bigger than me do. it's really heinous right now for fat peeps.

Some really good points from the tags:

  • skinny was never 'out'. absolutely correct. as long as we live in a society where being skinny can be used to signify status, it'll be extremely fashionable to be skinny. however, there have been fashion waves of being 'thicc', getting bbls, etc - manufactured 'perfect' hourglass type figures. i'm not saying those things have made the world any easier for fat people, but while skinny has never been out, it was briefly also in to have other bodytypes.
  • it seems to be more the big push of ultra conservative culture than ozempic. imo it's just both. like, notice how all this weird-ass body policing concerns women. demanding women look a certain way is the most conservative-ass shit in the world. i could write thousands of words about how conservative sensibilities have infiltrated mainstream culture through social media (esp tiktok) trends in recent years, but i'll save that for another time. my point is, i think conservative culture and the availability (and status by way of the price tag) of ozempic have cooperated to create an especially hellish time
  • isn't ozempic for diabetics? it sure is! it's diabetes medication! for people who need it to live! but you know. it makes you not feel hunger, so of course people were gonna use it to starve themselves to death get that sommer bod or whatever the fuck

I've seen on here and other sites is israelis responding to israels violence towards palestinians by presenting palestinian violence to israelis like it's some competition lol? I just saw one israeli blogger in response to the violence Palestinians from masafer yatta face from settlers say something like "yeah that's bad and no state is perfect" (like that violence is just accidental) "but two israelis can't walk into the west bank without being lynched" *stares at half a million israeli settlers in the west bank including the 3 settlements surrounding my village* but the reality is that palestinians that commit violence against israelis will be arrested prosecuted and or killed meanwhile the situation in masafer yatta is one of the most undeniable proof of israeli colonialism of palestinian land and the fact that the violence from settlers is filmed in full view of the army but there are no arrests undeniably shows that a. Being a settler colonial state israel's interest aligns with its most violent settlers ie eliminating the native and b. The imbalance of living as a palestinian and living as an israeli. Palestinians are extra judicially killed by settlers and soldiers so much that we have stats about how many are prosecuted for it and it's so little it's negligible. The fact that israelis continue to try to equivocate the experience it's just so bizarre because u don't want to live like palestinians
