I think they’re so special because of their untamed bitchiness. They match each others freak!
Genuinely I think a huge reason why I like them so much is because I spent forever trying to figure out how to make it work without changing the characters with @soulcured and it was genuinely so much fun! Their relationship would take lots of work, and definitely wouldn’t be love at first sight, and I think that is so awesome.

nothing sadder to me than when an online artist posts a side by side of the same picture from 5 years ago / redrawn this year, and the first one is fluid and energetic and full of character, and the second one is flat and static and clean to the point of sterility
it seems like a common trajectory for fanartists in particular to stop developing their drawing skills at some point and focus exclusively on their finishing skills, so everything ends up graphically polished and meticulously presented but utterly uninteresting to look at
#I get worried I’m becoming this way because I look back at some of my art and I still like it#like yeah the hands are awful and my line art sucks but the expression is good#the details are good#idk how to explain it#I feel like I haven’t gone THAT far yet but I do feel like I’m getting comfortable#vs learning because I just don’t have time to draw#so when I do it’s one of a few of the same things
