I noticed that it kind of rubs me the wrong way when I see people reblogging posts about Ukraine and russian atrocities with tags like "tw war" and "tw violence." And before someone comes for me, I understand the need for them. I understand why they're there; I understand that some people need trigger warnings to keep their mental state in balance, and I'm all for people being mindful of the content they see.

But it just always reminds me that my and every ukrainian's life and experience is triggering for people. It's disturbing and uncomfortable to read about. And it just adds to the feeling that people (even mutuals) won't interact with everything we share about the war if they have a choice not to (which is not necessarily true because most of social media is deliberately hiding our posts).

Logically, I understand the need. Emotionally, it just depresses me a bit more.

today it's palm sunday in ukraine and russians killed 21 ukrainians in the city centre of sumy with a double ballistic missile strike (second missile arrived as people rushed to help), and russians are celebrating with the photos of pigs and smiles and all the usual things they do. yesterday ukrainians were outraged by the words of a russian anti-putin liberal kara-murza in the french senate who said that for russians it is psychologically hard to kill ukrainians because we are one people which is why russia employs buryats to kill us. those monstrous 600 thousand buryats 100 million russians should cry and beg to kill us

I think, being Ukrainian, the cherry on top to just living through a genocide of your people and news about more and more rape, deaths and destruction every single day, is the constant gaslighting and whining from russians and some non-russians alike about us being so russophobic for daring to not appreciate the great russian culture.

Babes, this IS russian culture. Genocide, theft, rape, murder - that is russian culture. Everything else (ballet, literature, and the like) basically exists to facilitate, justify or disguise the things mentioned above. And everyone defending that culture, promoting it and giving it platform and awards participate in this genocide, willingly or not.

And until the russian people themselves process their identity and culture and the issues with it and work on it, it's not going to change.

Already created second envoy Misty and she is so prettyyyyyyyy. I love her

elon isn't bad because he's ugly or cringe or "moves like an alien mimicking human behaviors" or whatever he's bad because he's a fucking fascist. can we focus please.

Ukrainians on occupied territories are about to be deported from their homes if they don't obtain russian passport. This is genocide.

Could not agree more

STOP SUPPORTING rUSSIAN CULTURE, there's nothing exciting about it, they killed and tortured millions of people throughout their history, to present themselves as that "great" nation, of course the'll seem like that, when there's no one else left.

CULTURE IS POLITICS

International Writers' Day hits different when you're from Ukraine

Just a few stories of Ukrainian writers killed by russia in 2024/25. There are more of them. Keeping their memory alive is the least we can do

* Nedopysani is a memorial project to honor those Ukrainian people of literature who were killed by Russia. Our goal is not merely to make a list—we want to celebrate lives of the fallen ones, read their poems and novels, carry on their legacy.

We are the echoes of their voices

Pretending to be shocked by news that Biden also had agreements with russia to let it take Ukraine until it became clear we will fight regardless of their help.

Like, come on. They paused help EVERY TIME we had a sucessful counteroffensive and policed how deep we can strike. This is not something an ally would do.

Also, in the first hours of invasion, we have been literally told "there will be no Ukraine in three days"

I remember that. I will never ever forget that. So-called international law is a load of bullshit and we should fucking do something about it or colonial wars will never ever stop.
