I noticed that it kind of rubs me the wrong way when I see people reblogging posts about Ukraine and russian atrocities with tags like "tw war" and "tw violence." And before someone comes for me, I understand the need for them. I understand why they're there; I understand that some people need trigger warnings to keep their mental state in balance, and I'm all for people being mindful of the content they see.
But it just always reminds me that my and every ukrainian's life and experience is triggering for people. It's disturbing and uncomfortable to read about. And it just adds to the feeling that people (even mutuals) won't interact with everything we share about the war if they have a choice not to (which is not necessarily true because most of social media is deliberately hiding our posts).
Logically, I understand the need. Emotionally, it just depresses me a bit more.
