so imagine you go to a restaurant and theres this like huge delay getting your food and one of the waiters keeps coming past every 5 minutes like "sorry about the wait, theres some issues with the dimensions of the kitchen", "im so sorry, our head chef went to explore the corridor, can i get you any more drinks in the meantime?" "were having a bit of a minotaur problem, but your food will be ready shortly!" and youre like being polite not like crazy nice just going "oh its okay! no worries!" like eventually youre kinda hungry and pissed off but youre not gonna be a dick to this poor waiter yknow. you finally get your food and the waiter is like "thank you so much for your patience, im so sorry about that!" and youre like "its all good, its here now haha!" and its yknow pretty good food but then the waiter brings out a dessert and refills of your drinks. and youre like "hey we didnt order these?" and they go "oh, its on the house!"
