girl he WAS that quirkless vigilante. anything he'd say about that would come from a place of having tried to BE that quirkless vigilante at FOURTEEN YEARS OLD. not get into ua. not get mentored. toshi's goal was to STOP CRIME with a LEAD PIPE and NO QUIRK

Rats are generally social creatures, so after he became a villain he had nobody, and being cooped up in one place was not good for him, I feel like that's the only reason why he began talking to objects as if they're real–to fill a void

But ya, while he wouldn't be overly touchy and express his want for affection, late nights and sleepovers often lead to him huddled up against quackerjack, both for warmth (cause he has no fur) and affection
