all i'm saying is that, with mha's society being what it is, there's no way that there isn't a stigma around having kids with quirkless people. and that absolutely ripples out and affects, like, people being willing to mess around with quirkless people in little flings or one night stands, but shying away from committed relationships with them.
and all of THAT said, please imagine toshi getting asked out as a joke, as a form of bullying in middle school. and him carrying that idea, that wanting to be with him is just a joke, just a punchline, all these years later.
we all know and love sunflower toshi, but what about dandelion toshi?

“Look, Toshi, dandelions!”
Bright yellow met his gaze as Yagi shook himself out of his thoughts, the voice chirping from beside him drawing his attention to the wild patches of weeds sprouting out across the courtyard. You had insisted that the two of you go out for some fresh air, once he was discharged from the hospital, practically guiding him alongside you to a small path leading to various places in nearby nature.
It had been a week sitting up in a hospital bed while doctors and nurses tended to his broken limbs, his shattered arm still bound even now, useless against him in its sling. While police spoke to him about the League and their next actions – his next actions. You had been beside him the whole time, holding his less mangled hand in yours, wiping tears with the other that first night – when he had his final fight… when he was forced to retire.
His thoughts were so heavy, uneasy with this newfound idleness. He was slipping into the dark recesses of his mind; stuck on all the things he could no longer do. No longer be.
But you were there, guiding him back to the light with gentle hands and promises of a new future – different, but bright.
Guys I LOVE using flower language/symbolism in my fics I’m not even joking. I love seeing it too, in other works, it gets me everytime. PEAK literary tool
I’m debating making little one shots based on flowers, if y’all have any suggestions I’m opening my ask box :) I’ll post them here, and if I like them enough or if I get enough requests, I’ll make a collection on AO3! I want to do something to get my creativity flowing since I’ve been burnt out for a bit, so if y’all want one don’t be scared to send it to me!

It had been a mistake.
A simple, foolish mistake.
One that you would have probably laughed at if not given the current circumstances- and yet, here you were, wheezing and doubled over, clawing at the dust covered oak floor as you struggled to pull in a breath that wasn’t full of old musk and the scent of chalk; kicked up dust particles winking in the moonlight peeking in through the patch of rotten wood you had fallen through.
Before this, you had been exploring some old, rotting building that had long since been abandoned. It was the kind of place that awakened a deep, unsettling curiosity in you. A curiosity that whispered promises of something forbidden in your ear, no different from that same feeling when you see something you know you shouldn’t, but you just can’t get it out of your mind and all you want is more.

also COMPLETELY unrelated but when people talk abt stuff like quirkless vigilante izuku and whether toshi would be for or against it (generally they paint him as against it because it's usually an all might bashing dadzawa fic COUGHS who said that) i feel like people miss the obvious
girl he WAS that quirkless vigilante. anything he'd say about that would come from a place of having tried to BE that quirkless vigilante at FOURTEEN YEARS OLD. not get into ua. not get mentored. toshi's goal was to STOP CRIME with a LEAD PIPE and NO QUIRK
don't ever tell me that he'd be a big meanie who hates the quirkless and the idea of quirkless heroes/vigilantes ever again. get the fuck out of my house. if he's saying something against it thats because he doesn't want anyone else to get hurt!!! he had to get bailed out by nana!!! like!!! use your fucking brain im begging

I apologize if it seemed like I was trying to beat around the bush or anything, I promise that wasn’t my intention. I was just trying to be specific since I’m not sure if what I had in mind counted as such. The line is blurry in some fics so I just wanted to be clear that the story starts pretty dark but doesn’t end up going in that direction fully. I simply mean that in the story demon Toshi was going to use his powers to try and seduce her to let him out (he’s trapped) but ends up changing his mind when he’s free 😭 nothing actually happens yet. But the way it’s written could imply that his powers are still in effect if you squint (they’re not). The good ending/bad ending would be more one ending she gets to be with him the other he lowkey eats her lol
This is not a topic I’m very familiar with in writing and I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable, so I thought I’d clear that up. Nothing towards the anon who asked this too, I should have been more specific.

It’s not rude at all, don’t worry!
I’m still workshopping it, but I was thinking about doing two separate endings, one would be closer to coercion than anything (as he does use demonic powers on the reader in the beginning) and the other would have a more dark romantic ending. If I do end up posting the first one, I will be adding a trigger warning/content warning since I understand that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and it can be hard to read depending on personal circumstances. I wouldn’t ever initially post something dark like that without a warning :)
