full offence i think these responses are cruel and deeply disingenuous. considering that op and the above reblog (referenced here by the waterboarded post) didn’t say that one should never acknowledge their privilege and relative safety net in the world, i think it is so unkind (shockingly i do think kindness is 1. necessary for social beings 2. generally useful for gaining support for policies!!) to respond with something like this.
