Ya'll think this is how Bad's priorities will shift?

While overall, his priority has been his mission, he's still taking the fun approach, Chaos. It doesn't necessarily need bloodshed or chaos, but it's fun to do so.

Maybe now that it has affected someone he cares about, it has affected him in some way as well. Maybe being a little bit torn up about it, about a death, makes him realizes he's spending to much time on this, dilly dallying.

Maybe this just makes him realize that after the Eggs, his kids, he's much more suseptible to care about others. It makes him realize that all the other ties he has can become a ball and chain or they're fragile strings, ready to snap from the strain.

Just a thought :D! (All of this is characters btw!)

tr! in front of all names ty <3

"Do you ever feel bad about the mess we drag people into?" "Only if I care about them"

The tragic thing is that they did care. Bad and Foolish both cared about Ros so much. More than I think they were both prepared to. But in the end, the outcome remains the same.

Both of them tried to walk Ros back from the edge in the only ways they know how.

Foolish spent the day trying to show Ros that Life can get better. Talking it through with her on the back of a camel and trying to get her to imagine a bright future where she can be happy, where she doesn't feel like she needs to apologise for simply existing.

And Bad, trying to show Ros the true cost of Death. Calling Aimsey to the castle the day before to show Ros that if she succeeds in her plan, she will be hurting the friends she leaves behind. The friends that care about her and who will have to grieve when she's gone.

And yet...

Ros had already made her decision. She'd been drowning for a long time, keeping herself afloat with castle distractions and by trying to convince herself that she'll be okay as long as she can be of help to others. But things went wrong. Her choices backfired and she ended up pushing away her Aimsey. Her lifejacket. And without that... She sank. The thing about drowning people is that you can reach out your hand as much as you like. But if they refuse to take it, then they will keep sinking regardless.

----

Also. I do think that Bad genuinely believes that he was doing the best thing he could for Ros at that moment. Ros wanted to die, she'd made that very clear. And I think Bad knew, or could maybe even sense, that if Ros didn't die by his hands... She would probably die at her own. And, despite it all, he did care about her. So, by giving her a swift ending. In the way that she asked for. Is that not mercy? In the eyes of someone who sees death at every turn, is a quick death not the last thing he could offer to someone who was slipping away regardless?

Maybe Foolish too, could sense something. He walked into the castle today and felt a shiver of fear down his spine. A premonition? Do you think he felt Death approaching? Searching for traps but finding nothing, because the life that was in danger... is the one that he transferred to Ros. Do you think he felt it, when that spark of life was extinguished? Did he feel an echo of a heartbeat going silent in his own chest?

Did it feel like failure?

In the end, in the final moment. Foolish and Bad did the things that came most naturally to them.

Foolish throwing himself in front of the crossbow, in front of Ros, trying to preserve the Life of someone he cares about at all costs. But a mortal life always has it's end. And Bad, keeping his end of the deal. Giving Ros her chosen ending as quickly as he knows how. Death, as inevitable as ever.

Foolish and Bad have been through so much together. But this. This... Has Bad ever crossed the line like he did today, in the long history that they share? Has he ever gone as far as to permanently take away one of Foolish's chosen people? I don't know if he has.

Is this the straw that breaks the camel's back?

Zam watchers im letting you know Lukey is telling Bad to say random bullshit and is laughing his ASS off about it while muted

Hey, upside of Ros resetting today of all days is that there will be a bunch of new people on the Realm tomorrow (i’m pretty sure it’s tomorrow?) so at least she won’t be the only lvl zero.

so tr!Bad was just fully trying to prevent tr!Ros’ death by taking the deal because he thought she’d go through with it alone the same day if he didn’t. Kinda disappointed that he doesn’t seem to have even remotely enjoyed actually killing a person on purpose for once, but hey. we knew he was a softie for Ros.

tr!Lukey talking tr!Zam out of killing him by calling him a hypocrite for doing so oh my god he’s goated

so glad tr!Bad finally got himself a person that is obsessed with making him suffer endlessly like tr!Zam is. It’s healthy for him.

Bad: "so you all view death as an abrupt...ending, I view it as a doorway"

Zam: "a doorway to what?"

Bad: "exactly"

Zam: "..what?"

Bad: "see I knew you wouldn't understand."

Zam: "it's insane that people here don't seem to value life"

Bad: "what does it mean to value life?"

Zam: "I don't know, to not kill?"

Bad: "so do you never kill?"

Zam: "I try not to"

Bad: "so if someone goes after someone you love, would you kill them?"

Zam: "probably."

Bad: "and what makes that different?"

Bads explaining his views and reasoning around his killing of Ros in his roundabout cryptid way because he cant say anything, and is trying to allow zam to connect the dots on her own and shes just not getting it at all lmao

This is actually so funny because Bad upgraded Lukey’s armor because “he had a feeling someone would try to kill him” and then tr!Zam comes barreling into the potion room later that day threatening to do exactly that. And one of the reasons he hesitated was because he realized he might not actually be able to kill Lukey because of… and you’ll never believe this… his armor. lol. Lmao, even.
