Saw this on Twitter and I obligatory need to share it

So she actually said that she does not see the appeal in Senshi at all and that the panty shots weren't intended to be horny - she just has a neighbor who looks kind of like him and does laundry in his underwear. Which she finds kind of weird and offputting, and put into his character to be funny.

But that's the thing. She doesn't exaggerate or grotesqueify or alter people's bodies to fit some standard. (Except insofar as she draws different species differently, and those are exquisitely practiced to ensure they have the same diversity of appearances that humans do.) She just presents people exactly as they are, complexities and oddities and all.

It just so happens that when you present people exactly as they are, what you present will be beautiful and alluring to many. Even the things you yourself might find weird and offputting. Honestly I think it's a touching example of how you don't have to see the beauty in everyone for the beauty to be there, simple honesty is enough to let the wonder of people's humanity shine through.

Ok it's over now! So basically it was a 1:1 adaptation and covered up to the arm calming ritual in the cloud recesses. It's been a while since I've read mdzs so I can't tell you 100% but this went pretty fast and I didn't catch any big things they missed out on except for one thing. Total runtime was 2:30 hrs! The big thing they missed was NO FAIRY!!!!!! ZERO OUT OF FIVE STARS!!!

lil apple *was* in it but just as off screen donkey braying. Disappointing but whatever. Btw her name in Japanese is Ringo-chan

Since this was the final performance there were cast intros and here's some highlights:

- ensemble girl who throws loquats to wwx is a mdzs stan. Biggest ups to her making her dream come true

- one of the ensemble guys who played a bg lan disciple was like "I was very happy because I didn't have to cut my long hair. I was like 'really? It's alright to just keep it natural?!'. I was super happy"

- jin zixuan's actor flipping his hair during his intro (side note but him and jl kept flipping their hair throughout the whole thing it was very funny)

- Jin Ling also very excitedly flipped his hair as an outro after making his comments it was very cute

- sizhui and jingyi linked arms during their comments

- Tomoki Hirose (lwj) said something like: "Shunya (wwx) worked very hard for this role. While playing wwx, every day in practice he was happy and energetic and in lwj's role, every day my heart went doki-doki"

- Kaneko Shunya kept fucking up the final big thank you and Tomoki Hirose had to coach him through it multiple times LMFAOOO. The other cast members were cracking up over it + after the second time he fucked it Jiang Cheng's actor made the zidian hand gesture like he was going to whip him 😭😭😭

- after everyone stepped off stage wwx and lwj did a final longing glance at each other from opposite sides of the stage ... Wao ...

Since the MDZS Japanese stage play isn't being made available anyway, if you missed it, I managed to record it:

It is in Japanese with no English subtitles. It's a screen recording, and there's one part where I accidentally un-maximized my screen, but I think overall it's pretty decent quality.

Mdzs stage play just started my first thought is that the intro song is so touken ranbu core I fw it so hard

THEY'RE USING THE CHINESE PRONUNCIATIONS NOT THE JAPANESE ONES !!!!! YESSSSSS

All the other characters are introduced with like cool battle moves (even nie huaisang) but all Jin Zixuan gets is a gay little dance it's really funny. We all get it you were the one who was pregnant with jin ling girl don't worry

They cut out lil apple so I'm turning off the live and requesting a ticket refund

Otherwise it's a pretty 1:1 adaptation of the books so far. I like how even if they had to cut things for runtime they still include wwx's long ass inner monologues for any given thing happening to him. he's very cute about it

MDZS stage play was super cute!! Really neat effects, mostly done through projections. Very Wangxian-focused.

  • It covers the beginning of the story, up through Wangxian defeating NMJ's arm with musical cultvation, about to set off together to investigate.
  • It includes flashbacks to their days at Cloud Recesses, basically hitting a bunch of the highlights like the rooftop fight, the side-by-side punishment, the library scene, the water demon and the loquot.
  • It's got the book canon of Mo Xuanyu being gay so we get WWX's "JC isn't my type, HGJ is" and him sleeping immobilized on top of LWJ.

I got a decent recording, but I need to edit the beginning and cut out a brief part where I accidentally unmaximized the screen lol. But watch this space for a link soon!

How many ways can you pass that blorbo? Lovingly and sweet? Hard and brutal? Forcefully? Like a party favor? Like a blunt? Like the last bottle of tequila at the after party?

This April, we pass that blorbo.

FAQ Under the cut

The sooner yall remember that Hollywood is the propaganda arm of the US military, the sooner yall will stop fangirling over a bunch of your White boy faves making war criminals look good becos that's strategic too.

Also, lmao at these tweets:

"Everything is based on memory", cool bro will you include this then?

Ray Mendoza sir, is your memory long enough to remember the death toll of Iraqi casualties as a result of the Iraq war?
