it’s been said before, but the level of perfection expected of Ukraine in order to deserve support is insane. Ukraine is expected not to have any societal flaws, even flaws that exist in western countries that have not experienced even half of the shit Ukrainians have. The amount of times I’ve seen people say aid to Ukraine should be cut off because there’s refugees abroad because if not literally every Ukrainian is fighting then genocide is deserved somehow, as though there’s ever been a war where people didn’t often choose to flee. Meanwhile ruzzia is effectively committing multiple genocides at once, has been committing human rights abuses and war crimes like its a checklist, and if you so much as say “I’m not really interested in dostoyevsky” you get called a russophobe

guys you do know that sexualization and sexual objectification isn't about genuinely expressing your sexuality and sexual desire. it's about power and oppression and control. it makes me a little bit crazy when people talk about sexualization and objectification and someone comes in being like but it makes me empowered when i dress sexily or like find a woman attractive or whatever and it's like no you're talking about a different thing. finding a woman hot or feeling yourself hot isn't necessarily sexualization it's expressing and experiencing your sexuality and desire. sexualization and objectification is first and foremost about reassuring your power over someone and/or your place in the hierarchy of oppression. it is not a genuine expression of sexuality

My beloved city🫶

Somehow my whole life I was among homesick people who dreams about greener grass on the other side and I was weird one for loving my city. Now how tables turn with war. And also I started volunteering and pursuing dofferent hobbies and surprise!!! There are many people like me who love to live here and doing many cool things. Finally I am feeling not so weird

The tragedy of Europe and ours is that Russia cannot sustain itself as a normal, functional country.

Before 1914, Russia was incapable of modernizing or industrializing. It completely collapsed during the First World War, the Tsar was killed, and the Bolsheviks came to power.

Stalin tried to industrialize rapidly—through absolute terror and famine. It was in vain. The Germans nearly finished them off—they only managed to hold on with 20 million dead, relying on weapons and ammunition from the USA and aided by the winter cold.

After the Second World War—helped by the entire West—they took half of Europe, all the way to Berlin. Their industrial center stretched from Donbas/Ukraine to East Germany. Massive. Still in vain. They went bankrupt and collapsed—AGAIN—in just 40 years.

The USSR disappeared, and Russia fell into bankruptcy once more.

Afterward, the West helped them again with technology and bought their gas. And China bought their oil and everything else. They made a bit of money. But they know—in their current form, they cannot sustain themselves again and will collapse once more (as electric cars and green energy push them out of the market).

So they attack Ukraine, mind you, ALLOWED by the West to do so. But the Ukrainians are fighting back, and they haven’t been able to advance for 3 years. Disaster. They’re on the brink of collapse.

Now, once again, the USA has to come help them. Pathetically.

Maybe everyone needs to realize that country cannot sustain itself—it’s fundamentally unsustainable. The only solution is for it to break apart into republics and reconfigure itself that way.

You can’t have a country that’s constantly in ruins and, because of that, becomes aggressive and wrecks the lives of millions of people over and over and over again.

Enough.»
