nat being the one to find out abt misty destroying the 'transponder' is exactly how it was always going to go and i LOVE its where we ended up. its why adult nat is so cold and jaded and wary around adult misty, its why she knows inherently that misty cuts her battery cable, tampering w something again to be close to her. why nat is not completely surprised at misty spying on her in her hotel room with a camera. like sorry, since nat's s1 misty hallucination its always been them, intertwined in this resentful and twisted and devoted red string of fate they keep tugging and tugging on until misty eventually strangles her

heartwarming! the kindest person you've ever trauma bonded with not only knows your ugliest secret but she also kept it for decades and even forgave you a little bit and also kinda desires you carnally and sees your value as a person and even identifies with you on a fundamental level! which maybe might mean you are not completely bad and unlovable! sure she'll die a stupid pointless death at your hand mere hours after you got her back but in the cruel and punishing universe you live in this is the closest thing to real love and true forgiveness you're ever gonna get! and you both know that!

mistys devotion to nat in the adult timeline is suddenly making so much sense. if nat knew about the transponder and said nothing, spared misty just out of kindness because she knew what mistys fate would be if the others found out, how could someone like misty do anything less than fall hopelessly in love with her.

mistynat is so great bc without misty we are just left with a natalie who is shakespearean levels of tragic. just leading an absolutely miserable existence. all the universe does is chew her up and spit her out over and over. unbearable. which is perhaps precisely why they gave her misty, a ridiculous and offputting poodle of a woman with no sense of action -> consequence. she makes nat's life miserable too, often in the deadliest ways possible, but her mere presence in nat's life is so goofy and absurd that it somehow becomes a relief from the usual torments. at least with misty nat's in a codependent buddy comedy on top of the eternal suffering. samuel beckett style. plus christina ricci has a great rack

My brain is in shambles. How do I function as a human now? NAT KNOWS?! IS SHE GONNA TELL!? IS MISTY GONNA BE THE ONE WHO NAT LETS OUT HER RAGE OUT AT?! BC SOAPY SAID NAT WOULD GET AN ANGRY MOMENT AND WE HAVNT RLY SEEN THAT (maybe ep 8 end would count but I don't rly think so) AND I AM SO SCARED?!
But ALSO the concept of nat knowing and taking that secret TO HER GRAVE makes me DHSUSHDG and also they very much might work together to try to get home and that would be EVERYTHING!

Okay but there's no way Nat told, right? There's NO way that they wouldn't kill Misty for that, especially with Shauna in charge. And Nat is SCARED of Shauna. She might be pissed at Misty but Shauna is fucking insane and I don't think Nat would want to put her through that, ESPECIALLY when Misty is now their best chance of getting home.
Idk maybe I'm reaching but I just can't seen a scenario where Shauna lets Misty live while knowing that, and Misty is still alive.

Guys I just realised that the writing of the adult timeline has been barely coherant this season. like yes shauna someone out to get her bla bla.
misty is stuck in a mystery solver ignored friend loop whose intentions or cause are never explored.
Taissa has this other side.. WE KNOW.. this whole thing with keeping Van alive and her blowing up her life…okay
But lottie just ups and dies and her character makes no progress except the other characters throwing shit at each other for it.
unimportant out of the blue melissa hat is our biggest problem yes but our core characters are being abandoned and forgotten for wow shocking points.
even last season Natalie spent all her time doing just 2 things. figuring out lottie and healing a tad bit.
these characters are SO RICH and have so much potential but where is the developement except for Shauna’s constant deteroriation?
Now in this episode Van’s past self sends her on a quest to save herself and Tai. But for an intelligent character why is Van convinced it is Melissa shr needed to attack? also Tai’s real self is brought back by carbon monoxide poisining at a house they absolutely did not need to go to.
for so much teasing they put into other tai this is the outcome???? like what is the major event that cures Tai??
Van Misty and Taissa just didnt need to stay there to clean Shauna’s mess..
