This is a community of LGBTQ+ refugees who are suffering. Recently, some of our members have been jailed for fighting back against people stealing their shelters at night, and they were tortured in lock up. Cases involving refugees, especially LGBTQ+ people, are often ignored or met with violence.

They are deep in the desert surviving on tea leaves and hot water, porridge for the kids, breastfeeding mothers and those who are HIV positive.

Donations will go towards stockpiling food, paying for hospital bills, negotiating with officers and setting up shelters.

Hello our dear Donors I'm so sad to inform you that today we have had a meeting with the unhcr officials and they have clearly told us that they don't want to see any lgbtqi member within refugee camp and as we all know that South Sudan doesn't support the lgbtqi practice so I am here to seek advocacy that you may be having some means always or organizations that can really appeal to the European Union or any other support avenues that can really help us out through this hard phase of our lives as you all know that we moved from Kenya to South Sudan because the Kenyan government criminalized the lgbtq practice and as well now the South Sudan government has criminalized the lgbtqi practice and they have given us a maximum or minimum of 10 days to evacuate this place and we are really a danger and we wish for you to intervene through advocacy and sharing this with your local organizations so that you may help to save our lives for we are about 500 lgbtq refugees living in Grand refugee camp and we really have nowhere and no hope to go we can't move out of this camp one because the peace agreement that was signed in 2018 to stop the war that was going between the South Sudan government and the opposition leaders expired last month on the 25th of February and right now the only way that we are to be supported is by advocacy in case you have any other means and you would wish to support us you can do so by donating to our GoFundMe fundraiser to help us get some money to continue helping us to buy food medicine and other basic needs like the sanitary part for the lesbians but without this items we are fully at risk as we don't have any other means as Donald Trump as clearly stated that he can't allow the LGBTQIA+ refugees from South Sudan to cross onto his territory I'm very very thank you for your support and your time I really appreciate it would be grateful for your kind heart of humanity to support us through this hard time thanks

Greetings from Gorom refugee camp, South Sudan. We are in a war zone, and our lives are at risk not only from the violent homophobia of the community, and fellow refugee residents, but from gunfire and bombs. This is an appeal to all who are supportive of our LGBTQ community at the camp for help in moving our resettlement to countries which do not criminalise gay people. Please help us in any way you can: by financial support as we lack food and the basics to live with a minimum of hygiene and comfort, and also by lobbying your lawmakers so that they can press for action to be taken to speed up our leaving this very dangerous country.
