Actually Lucy is incredibly valid because if I came home happliy, thinking my family had cleaned up because they love me and are happy to see me, and found out that a girl who I perceived as prettier was in my place and I'd seemingly been made obsolete during the THREE DAYS I was gone on an odious trip to visit family, and the boy I'm half in love with seems to be hanging on her every word, when *I* was a teenage girl, I'd have burnt the whole place down and lit a cigarette on the embers

I love that George doesn't have a tragic backstory. He has a home, a good family, and he's so smart. He didn't have to be an Agent, he could have continued school or pursued something safer and easier. But he chose to risk trauma, injury, and death, he is often traumatised, injured, and near death, all because he decided as a small child that he was going to fix the world and he will not back down from that goal. To have other options and choose a hard life for yourself on purpose simply because you see something wrong and you want to try and fix it takes such an incredibly strong person. He's so cool.
