About Me

Hi there, Lulu here.

I do have a real name but I prefer to go by Lulu on here and Ao3 so please use that.

I go by she/he/they. Call me what you want I don't mind. It changes day by day for me in the real world, but my friends and family don't know that.

I'm pansexual but again only a few people know that.

I'm in my 30's but have the maturity of a teenager unless I'm in parent mode when I have to pretend to be a grown-up (It does not last long!).

I am a huge huge huge Harry Potter fan (Fuck JK, she's a dick!) My house is full of so many HP-related items. In fact, I think every room has something in it, thank the gods my husband is also a massive nerd.

In case you can't tell I am Neurospicy. I am in the middle of getting diagnosed with ADHD and by that I mean I am procrastinating actually starting the process.

Now where was I?

Oh, yeah I like so much stuff I can't think what else to put here but yeah Harry Potter, mainly Marauders era but I love anything really.

My fav ships are Wolfstar (I've loved them since I was a young thing and didn't even know it was a thing." Jegulus (My new love.) Dramione (Lord have mercy) Drary (Lord I need more mercy) Pandalily (Meep!) Dorlene (Squeek!) I like Marylily as well but not as much, but I love them when I read them.

My asks are open and you can send me whatever you want, no hate please no one needs that in their life and Tumblr is my happy place don't spoil it.

Things that make me happy

You guys. Honesty it's Tumblr, I've only just really found this and all you amazing people who like my silly stories that I've only been writing regularly since December 23 when I found you all. My husband and son make me happy and so do my dogs and cats. I love watching storms and autumn. I read a lot, I crochet, I knit, I write. I am a huge fan of chocolate. If you give me chocolate I will be your friend.

Music

Bowie. Nuff said.

But yeah I like a lot of different stuff, it depends on my mood as to what I listen to. I drive my husband mad because I like songs by lots of people but I can't remember what they're called or who they're by.

Books

My all-time favourite book will always be Prisoner of Azkaban. It is my happy place.

My house is full and I mean full of books. I don't actually know how many I have but last time I estimated I had 300 in my bedroom alone. (There are piles of books in every room 😬)

ACOTAR!!!

Shows/movies

Harry Potter, The Martain, The Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Hunger games, Twilight (Don't judge me they got me through a dark time.), How to train your Dragon, Disney anything, plus others there are so many and I'm bored of listing.

Good Omens, Schitts Creek, Parks and Rec, Bake off, Handmaids tale, It's always sunny, community, Harbin hotel, archer, vampire diaries. Plus more but yeah typing.

Okay I think I'm done but who knows I might add more if I remember.

Prompt 3 - Paint

@rosekillermicrofic April 3, word count 399

“No, I don’t want to!” Barty cried as Sirius chased him around Lily and James’s living room.

“You promised you’d be gone by the end of today. Well, it’s time,” Sirius’s arms reached over the sofa and nearly got hold of Barty’s jumper, but he was quicker.

“But you and Remus get to stay!” Barty wailed as Sirius finally caught him and slung him over his shoulder. Barty kicked and writhed, but it was no good. Sirius was stronger than he looked. As a last-ditch effort to get his way, Barty went limp. Dropping his dead weight on Sirius. Sirius stumbled but caught himself before he fell and escorted Barty out of the Potters' house.

“We get to stay because Remus, Lily and James are very old friends and our house isn’t finished yet. You have a perfectly suitable house to go back to,” Sirius sighed as he put Barty onto his feet on the other side of the front door. “I love you, Barty, but it’s time to go home,” Sirius cupped Barty’s cheek with his hand. Barty sniffled. He’d never admit it, not even to Sirius, but he didn’t want to be alone. He’d got used to always being around people. First at Remus’s flat and now here, and since Evan had moved out, it had become the happiest home he’d ever known. “You can visit, you know,” Sirius said kindly, letting him go and moving back into the house. “And you’ll be the first one we invite over to see the house once it’s done,” This made Barty smile.

He walked towards Sirius, pretending he was going in for a hug and attempting to slip back into the house, but his way was blocked by Remus, holding out his bag.

“See you soon, Barty,” Remus’s smile was friendly and Barty loved him for that. Not many people smiled at him like that.

“Whenever you’re ready for that threesome, give me a bell, and I’ll come running,” he cackled at Sirius’s halfhearted glare as his bag was thrown at him and the door slammed in his face.

“Love you, you twat!” Sirius shouted at him through the closed door. Barty chuckled to himself and gave the red door a final farewell pat, picking off a paint chip as he did and walked down the drive, wondering how the fuck he was supposed to get home from there?!

Prompt 3 - Obscure

@wolfstarmicrofic April 3, word count 618

CW - Little bit NSFW

“Incarcerous,” Remus murmured into Sirius’s ear, and thin cords lazily flowed from the tip of his wand and twisted themselves around Sirius’s wrists and ankles, securing him to the four corners of the bed. Sirius’s entire body shivered in anticipation.

“Remus,” he whined.

“Shhh,” Remus hushed him. “Obscuro.” This time a blindfold covered Sirius’s eyes, and another shiver raced through him. “Ready, sweetheart?” Remus asked, knowing it would drive Sirius insane. Sirius pulled against his bonds.

“Remus!” he cried. Remus took pity on him and descended on his mouth.

Prompt 3 - Pottery

@jegulus-microfic April 3, Word count 391

“Come on then, how long has that been going on?” Marlene elbowed him in the ribs as they made their way down the changing staircases.

“A little while,” James said, reminding himself not to say too much.

“But long enough for him to be asleep in your bed, and I’m guessing Sirius to be alright with it?” Marlene pressed. James shrugged.

“He wasn’t overjoyed at first, but he came around. Anyway,” he said, attempting to change the subject. “What drills did you want to do?”

“So I’ve been practising the bludger backbeat, but I want to give the dopplebeater a go,” she told him as they hurried down the staircase they were on, as it began to move.

“Why can’t you practise with Dains?” Marlene bit her bottom lip.

“Look,” she started. "It’s not like Dains isn’t a great player; it’s just…”

“He’s shit at working as a pair,” James answered. He’d noticed that since he joined the team. He was great at defending the team from the bludger, but the second he needed to work with Marlene, he became sullen and went out of his way to mess the play up. “Why do you want to learn this move if you and Dains won’t be using it?” James asked intrigued.

“Well, we’re not going to be here much longer, and I thought I’d try my hand at professional quidditch and that’s one of the moves I’d need to know if I want to compete in league teams.” Wow, James hadn’t even thought about that. So far, his plans were to fly in the field behind his house and doss about with his friends for a bit before he thought too hard about his future, but maybe he should.

His imagination took another turn though. He began to daydream about leading Regulus up the path to his family home that his father had fondly nicknamed the Pottery, and introduced him properly to his parents as his boyfriend.

A content smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. Marlene's loud clearing of her throat snapped him out of his fantasy and back into the present.

“Brilliant idea, Marls. We can work on it as often as you like.” The image of Regulus flashed behind his eyes again as they walked down to the quidditch pitch in silence. He wanted that so badly.

Prompt 2 - Vampire

@rosekillermicrofic April 2, word count 325

“Are you sure you want to go?” Lily asked him as he stood by the door. “You’re more than welcome to stay longer if you want,” Her sweet face was full of kindness. It had been a long time since Evan had met someone as earnest as Lily Evans. He smiled to himself. They’d joked about her last name being so close to his own. James had to stop calling her Evans as he got too confusing when he was shouting for her through the house as the pair of them kept coming to see what the matter was.

“Yes, Lily, I really do need to get back. I’m sure all my plants will be dead, and I had to leave my cat with my neighbour,” He missed Mavis. He’d named the little black cat after the character from Hotel Transylvania because of her longer-than-average canine teeth, which poked out of her lips like little vampire fangs.

“Well, if you’re sure. But please don’t be a stranger, you’re always welcome,” he hugged her goodbye and waved at the others, his eyes straying towards Barty, who sat scrunched up in a ball, staring off into space. That was another reason for wanting to leave as soon as possible.

He and Barty had not got on very well. What could he say the man just grated against him the wrong way. He’d tried to be more understanding when Sirius had sat down with him and told him about Barty’s past. Evan had felt so heartbroken for both men when Sirius described what had been done to his brother. So, he’d tried and things had been good until lunchtime and then Barty had opened his mouth and Evan was back to tolerating him. He needed to get away from that annoying man, and he prayed to the universe as he got in his car and drove away from the Potters that he never saw Barty Crouch Jr again.

Prompt 2 - Ricusempra

@wolfstarmicrofic April 2, word count 618

“Right class we will be learning a new spell today. Nothing too difficult, I promise you,” Professor Flitwick assured after moans from the class. Most of them had only just managed to cast Wingardium Leviosa correctly.

“Don’t see why we can’t do something difficult,” Sirius whispered to him as Professor Flitwick went on.

“Speak for yourself,” Remus muttered back. He’d really struggled with Wingardium Leviosa, the same with his other lessons. He could feel the magic but didn’t seem to be able to access it properly. It was always a chore to call upon it. On the other hand, Sirius’s magic flowed like water. It was never far away when Sirius needed it and every spell came as naturally as breathing to him.

“Okay class, each of you pair up and try the spell out on each other. Remember the nice curving motion,” as Remus was sitting next to Sirius today, so they paired up. The four of them tried to rotate so they all got a chance to sit with each other. Remus checked the blackboard behind Professor Flitwick and practised the wand moment a few times. He nodded to himself once he was sure he had it.

“Ready?” Sirius asked, quirking an eyebrow at him.

They found an empty space in the classroom and raised their wands.

“You go first,” Remus told Sirius. He was nervous. Sirius twirled his wand.

“Rictusempra,” he cried, and Remus began laughing as invisible feathers tickled his skin. He bent forward, gasping, waiting for the spell to end. “Right, your turn,” Sirius grinned once Remus could stand up straight again. Remus took a deep breath, steeling himself.

“Rictusempra,” he chanted. He could feel the magic right there, but something was blocking it and only a trickle fought its way out. Sirius rolled his shoulders, slightly uncomfortable.

“Was that it?” He asked and Remus felt his cheeks heating. Sirius smiled at him and came to stand behind him. “Hey, Potter, come be my stand-in,” James immediately moved to the spot Sirius had been in and stood waiting.

Remus flinched as Sirius’s hands ran down his arms to hold his wrists. “Like this, Remus,” and he lifted Remus’s wand arm, swishing his wand through the air. “This time say the incantation,” His breath tickled the tiny hairs on the back of Remus’s neck, and he felt a shock of something jolt through him. Sirius raised his hand and began to move it.

“Rictusempra!” he shouted. He was expecting the usual slug of magic, but the rush of power he felt coursing through him was unlike anything he’d felt before. The floodgates had well and truly been opened. His hand spasmed with the amount of magic sliding down his wand. James fell to the floor in howls of laughter.

“R-r-r-remus! S-s-s-stop! He gasped around his laughs.

“Well done, Mr Lupin. Very powerful casting. Ten points to Gryffindor. Finite incantartum,” Flitwick squeaked as he ended the spell for James’s sake.

“That was amazing, Remus,” Sirius said, still holding his wrists. Remus looked down at his trembling hands. Had Sirius done that? Why had his magic released now? He waited until Sirius had let him to go make fun of James and pointed his wand at his textbook.

“Wingardium Leviosa,” His magic shot through him again and his book bounced off the ceiling. He stared at it in awe, realising he’d need to practice controlling this newfound power, or he was likely to take someone's head off. He grinned as James bent over double when he was supposed to be the one casting the spell on Peter, but Sirius had got to him first. He grinned. School had just got a hell of a lot easier.

Prompt 2 - Rule

@jegulus-microfic April 2, Word count 444

All the annoyance caused by being shoved into a bathroom faded the second James’s strong arms wrapped around him from behind. He wiggled back until he was cocooned by James’s warmth. He wished he could stay like this forever. The only thing wrong with this situation was the leaf in his mouth. He’d been able to feel the damn thing since he’d put it in there. He couldn’t believe he still had a week of this nonsense. But it would be worth it in the end. He grimaced as the slightly bitter taste hit his tongue as he swallowed. One more week, he thought as he fell asleep in James’s arms.

“As a rule, I wouldn’t usually condone this,” Regulus was woken by an auburn-haired girl, peering at him as though he were a blister of bubotuber puss. “But as I need James to run drills with me, I’ll let it slide. Honestly Potter, a Slytherin in your bed?” Marlene McKinnon scoffed, a smile threatening to spill onto her face.

“Yeah, yeah, Marls, I’m up,” James stretched, jostling Regulus so much he nearly rolled out of the bed. “Oops, sorry, love,” James yawned and pressed a kiss to his cheek before getting out of bed.

“Thank Merlin, you’re wearing underwear, Potter. A little warning next time if you please,” Marlene was smirking now, clearly enjoying this little experience. Regulus scowled at her.

“Well, if you’re going to let yourself in a boy's dorm room Marls, that's the chance you take. Just be glad you didn’t need Remus or Sirius for something as I bet my broomstick both of them are naked,” Marlene scrunched up her nose and made a disgusted sound.

“That is not something I ever want to see,” She shuddered at the thought. “Right, I'll leave you to it, I need toast,” She turned to leave, but James called her back.

“Marls, could you not tell people Regulus was in here, or that you saw us together, please,” Marlene brought her fingers to her forehead and salted James.

“Rodger that,” and then she hurried out of the room, glancing nervously at Remus’s bed.

Regulus was not ready to let James leave him, so when James came back to kiss him goodbye after he’d got dressed, Regulus grabbed him and pulled him back into bed.

“Reg, what are you doing?!” James gasped as he twisted his body so he didn’t crush Regulus. Regulus didn’t answer and claimed James’s lips in a crushing kiss.

“Bye,” he said, pushing James away and rolling back over, pulling the covers up. James chuckled the entire way out of the dorm room as Regulus went back to sleep.

Prompt 1 - Trick

@rosekillermicrofic April 1, word count 601

This is a spin-off series for my ridiculously long Wolfstar series. I hope you all enjoy reading. Lulu xxx

“So long, Burger face, you fucking bitch. I hope you rot!” he’d shouted at her as she was put in the back of the police van to be driven to prison. There was no trick involved, that was it. She was gone.

We did it, Reg, he thought to himself, raising his head and letting the warm sunshine sink into his skin. It was over. Walburga was in prison, convicted of ordering Regulus's murder amongst a litany of other transgressions. He’d never see her again. He spit on the ground where she’d walked and that was that. He refused to spend another second wasting precious thoughts on her. He was done.

That night he snuck out into the Potter’s garden. He lay in the slightly damp grass and looked up at the stars, easily finding the star he was looking for. So much brighter than it was in the city. “You’re shining brighter tonight, darling. Are you happy?” He sighed as he fished out a cigarette, the flame from his lighter blinding him as he tried to light the damn thing.

“Those things will kill you, you know?” a voice in the darkness spoke. Barty yelped. He thought he was alone. His cigarette slipped from between his fingers and landed on his chest. He yelped again as the lit end burned through his t-shirt.

“Do you mind? I just want a minute alone with Regulus,” Barty turned his attention away from Evan and back to the star twinkling above him. He heard the sound of a door closing and guessed Evan had gone back inside. It opened again and Barty had to bite his tongue to stop the spray of venomous words he wanted to spit at Evan from escaping his mouth.

“Hey, Reggie,” Barty instantly relaxed, it was Sirius.

Sirius lay down on the grass beside him and pinched his cigarette, taking one puff before passing it back. He let out a puff of smoke. It spiralled above them before fading to nothing, Regulus’s star shining through it the entire time.

“I think he’s happy now,” he told Sirius, keeping his voice to a whisper. Speaking at a normal level seemed wrong somehow.

“Yeah, I think he is,” Sirius sighed as the star gave a brighter twinkle. “Don’t worry, Reggie, I’ll keep an eye on him,” Barty had to blink away a few tears. He knew Sirius meant it. He’d had no idea how close they’d become in only a year. He didn’t know how he’d have survived Regulus's death if it wasn’t for Sirius. They stayed out there for a long time, swapping stories about Regulus. It felt good. When it got so cold that Barty was sure if he stayed outside much longer his bollocks would fall off, he went up to bed.

He opened the door as quietly as possible, letting in only a slither of light from the landing. He stripped down to his briefs and trying not to wake Evan, he lowered himself onto the squeaky air mattress on the floor. Evan began snoring, his soft snores filling the room. Barty sighed, he’d need to apologise to Evan again in the morning for being rude, again. He’d had a spark of lust for the man when they first met, but that was long gone. Evan was a stuck-up bastard and Barty had had his fill of those. Even with Evan’s snores, he still managed to fall asleep easily, exhausted by the trial inside and out. What now for me? He thought as his heavy eyelids drooped shut. What do I do now that we’ve won?

Prompt 1 - Aparecium

@wolfstarmicrofic April 1, word count 512

Remus was sitting at one of the study tables in the Gryffindor common room, merrily humming to himself as he poured over the map of Hogwarts he’d been working on for years. He’d added a few spells to it. He’d managed, after a lot of trial and error, to track every single witch and wizard in the confines of the castle and school grounds.

Looking at it now, he could see Hagrid in his hut by the forest. Lily Evans and Severus Snape in the library. He wished she’d hurry up and realised what a sleazeball Snivellus was, but she was blind to all his wrongs. He tracked the fast-moving figure labelled James Potter as he zoomed around the quidditch pitch and spotted Peter Pettigrew seated in the stands watching the Gryffindor practice. He scanned the parchment for the name he longed to see.

“Boo!” Remus leapt out of his chair. Sirius was right behind him. He looked at the map as his heart slowed to its usual rhythm, and there was the little label with Sirius Black written on it, right behind the one with Remus Lupin on it. “Oops, sorry, Moony,” Sirius took the seat beside him. “What are you working on?” He asked intrigued, snatching the map from the table. Remus managed to vanish the ink, but it was too late. Sirius had already seen it. “Something to hide, Remus?” He asked, raising a brow. He took his wand out of his pocket and tapped the map.

“No Sirius, don’t,” Remus begged.

“Aparecium,” Sirius recited, and the ink reappeared, but not in the form of the map. Instead, Remus’s spidery handwriting appeared.

‘So rude! Go away, ugly! Who said you could have this? A troll has better manners than you do!’

Sirius read each new insult as it appeared and threw his head back, bursting into loud laughter.

“Merlin, Remus, this is… Well, it’s excellent,” he wiped a tear from his eye. “Now, show me what’s really on it,”

Looking around to make sure no one was watching, Remus muttered the secret password under his breath and the ink spread out from his words and the map was revealed.

“It’s a map of the school. It’s not finished yet,” he added, not wanting Sirius to judge him on the messiness of his charms. Sirius just stared at it in awe.

“Remus, do you have any idea how much mischief we could accomplish with this map?” His eyes darted around the room, and he thrust the map at Remus’s chest. “Do not show this to anyone but us,” Sirius had a mad glint in his eye and for the next hour they bounced ideas off each other on how to improve the map and what changes could be made. Less than a month later the Marauder’s Map was finished and was on its maiden voyage to cause mischief.

“I solemnly swear that I am up to no good,” Remus spoke clearly and grinned at his new and improved map drew itself across the parchment. This was going to be fun.

Prompt 1 - Defend

@jegulus-microfic April 1, Word count 484

“I’m getting really tired of this,” Regulus grumbled as James threw his invisibility cloak over Regulus and pushed him into the bathroom. Peter vanished the leftover food and, after transfiguring their clothes into pyjamas, the four Marauders stood in a line in the middle of their dorm room just as Professor McGonagall came storming in in her tartan dressing gown and slippers.

“What in Merlin’s name are you doing in here?! You are disturbing the entire castle! Explain yourselves!” All four of them started talking over each other, trying to defend themselves. McGonagall held up a hand, silencing them.

“Mr Lupin, you are the one least likely to lie to me. Please explain exactly what has just happened,” She quirked an eyebrow at him as she waited for Remus to begin. Remus opened his mouth and immediately began lying.

“We were getting into bed. James has quidditch practice in the morning and I want to get to the library early to finish a charms essay that I couldn’t because of the full moon,” Remus’s face filled with sadness and James was shocked when McGonagall’s face softened. Remus gave a small sniff and then continued. “We were all getting into bed and Sirius accidentally knocked over his glass of water, and it dripped on the fireworks I had under my bed. I know I shouldn’t have them,” he said quickly when Professor McGonagall opened her mouth to reprimand him. “But there wasn’t another Hogsmeade weekend before the holidays, and I’d promised to get some for my mum because she'd never seen them before, she’s a muggle you see, and when I mentioned them to her the last time I was home she was so excited by the idea of them that I broke the rules and bought some the last time we visited the village. I’m sorry Professor,” Remus looked at the floor, looking completely defeated.

“Five points from Gryffindor, Mr Lupin. Now, all of you, bed!” She spun, her dressing gown flapping at her feet and she left them to it.

Regulus appeared at James’s side seconds after the door shut.

“I knew I liked you,” he said to Remus, a look of approval on his face. Remus winked at him and dragged Sirius over to his bed.

“Come on, I know a few ways you can thank me for saving your arse,” Remus growled.

“Silencing charms please,” James called out as the curtains closed around them. He could hear them moving and then a void of silence surrounded their bed. “Right, love, I think it’s time we did the same,” he told Regulus, walking towards his bed.

“So, we’re going to need our own silencing charms then?” Regulus smirked as he crawled onto James’s bed.

“I need new roommates,” Peter whined as he clambered into bed and put up his own silencing charms. James chuckled at his friends and followed Regulus into bed.

Oh my goodness!!! Lulu you're feeding us tonight !!! I'm overwhelmed ! What's happening?? So much good stuff all at once! Thank you!!! 😍

Prompt 31 - Home

Wolfstar, March 31, word count 373

This is it, guys, the final part. I can't believe it's over. Thank you to everyone who has read this series, liked, commented and reblogged, all of you make my day. I am debating on doing a Rosekiller spin-off, let me know if that interests anyone. And once again thank you so much for reading I love you all. Lulu xxx

They waved goodbye to Lily and James as Sirius drove them down the driveway. He’d loved spending so much time with his best friends, but Remus was looking forward to having some time where it was just him and Sirius. It wasn’t far to their newly renovated house, but the minutes seemed to slip by faster than Remus wanted. He kept touching his coat pocket to make sure the blue velvet box was still safely inside it.

He’d been back to the flat before the renovations had started to clear out his things. Most of it had gone into storage, but the little box and necklace had come with him. Thankfully, both had been in his underwear drawer when he’d opened it.

Remus had been going to propose as soon as they’d got back to Lily and James’s, but he hadn’t because he wanted to wait until after the trial, and then it never felt like the right time.

Sirius pulled up outside the house. It looked exactly the same yet completely different. The main change was obviously the wall that had replaced the front of the kebab shop and the lack of gaudy lights. Remus smiled. They were home.

They got out of the car, doors slamming loudly in the quiet street. Remus looked at Sirius, smiling up at the building, and he decided this was it. This was the moment he wanted to ask before they got upstairs and they both got distracted.

“They did an amazing job, don’t you think?” Sirius asked, looking the front of the building up and down. When Remus didn’t answer, he looked for him, slowly turning around when he couldn’t see him until his eyes fell on Remus down on one knee and holding out the blue velvet box that held his mother's engagement ring.

“Sirius Orion Black the third, will you marry me?” Sirius gasped and leapt at him, tumbling them both to the pavement.

“Yes. Yes. Yes, I do, or is it I will? I don’t care! Yes, Remus, I will marry you!” Sirius’s lips found his, and then they were kissing.

Remus picked Sirius up in his arms and unlocked the front door, entering the house where they could finally be alone.

Prompt 31 - Snitch

@wolfstarmicrofic March 31, word count 365

Sirius helped Remus onto the wooden bench at the top of the quidditch stands. Peter sat down beside Remus and James beside Sirius. They chatted happily while they waited for the game to begin.

Sirius was acting shifty and a mischievous grin kept spreading across his face as he looked down at the pitch, which he quickly schooled into a more neutral expression.

The two teams soon walked out onto the pitch and lined up opposite each other. Madam Hooch appeared, levitating the chest that held the four quidditch balls. She bent and opened the lid. She quickly released both bludgers and stepped back as they wizzed off into the air, cracking off each other until they flew off in opposite directions. She paused and seemed to rifle around in the chest. She straightened with her hands on her hips and she scowled at the interior of the chest. That’s when Sirius let out a little laugh. Remus turned to him. “What did you do?” Sirius bit his lips, trying to keep a straight face and failing. He took his hand out of his robe pocket and held up the golden snitch. The whole bench shook as James laughed his head off. The crowd around them was getting impatient for the game to start.

Madam Hooch stared around the stadium and finally took out her wand. They couldn’t hear her, but Remus guessed what spell she’d used when Sirius suddenly yelped. The hand that held the snitch began moving towards Madam Hooch. Sirius pulled it back and, instead of letting go, he held on tight. Madam Hooch cast the spell a few more times, the pull of the snitch getting stronger and stronger until, Sirius was lifted out of his seat and he soared down to the ground, screaming the entire time. Madam Hooch snatched the snitch out of his hand and shouted something at him before sending him off the pitch.

By the time he made it all the way back up to the top of the stands where Remus and the others were, the game was well underway. “What did she say?” Remus asked.

“Weeks detention polishing brooms,” Sirius shrugged. “Totally worth it.”

Prompt 31 - Boom

Sirius was being oddly polite to Regulus. He was trying and Regulus was determined to try as well.

The little feast was going down well. Sirius hadn’t been lying about Remus’s hunger for the chocolate cake. He’d made his way through half of it before anyone noticed. James took it off him and split the remainder between them.

“I’d eat that quick,” James nodded at the thick slice on the plate he passed over to Regulus.

Stuffed and unable to move, they told stories and listened to Sirius’s records. It was only when James was telling them about the Veela they’d been to watch in the village that Regulus remembered about Édith Piaf. He got up and went over to the shelf where Sirius kept all his records. Regulus was surprised by the sheer volume of them. He’d had no idea his brother loved muggle music this much. He leaned in and read the spines, his finger trailing over each until it paused on one towards the end and pulled it out. No one was paying attention to him, so he carefully lifted the needle off the T-Rex album that was playing, moved the vinyl out of the way and slipped Édith Piaf’s out of its sleeve and placed it on the turntable. He lifted the arm and the disk began to spin. There was a small amount of crackling and then Édith Piaf’s hauntingly beautiful voice filled the small space. The room fell silent as they all listened.

“Nice choice,” Sirius said, suddenly behind him. “Any reason you picked that one?” Regulus nodded.

“I listened to it in France,” Sirius beamed at him and wrapped an arm around his shoulder.

“Come on, Reggie, I hid a lemon tart for you,” Regulus’s mouth watered as he walked with Sirius back to their little group.

Regulus was licking the lemon curd out of the sweet pastry case, something he would never do in any company other than the ones he was with, while Sirius told them about a prank he was planning. “I think we could go so much bigger than we have been,” he chatted excitedly. His arms had been quite animated and when he said bigger, he flung his arms out and knocked over a full pitcher of pumpkin juice. The sticky juice spread across the floor and under Sirius’s bed. A hissing noise emanated from below the hanging bedsheet. Sirius’s eyes bulged out of his head as he lunged to his feet, dragging Remus along with him. “Scarper!” He yelped as the first firework wizzed into the room. James grabbed Regulus and Peter turned into Wormtail, scurrying across the room and under the gap in the door as Sirius’s last box of Dr Filibuster’s fabulous wet-start, no-heat fireworks went off with a rafter shaking boom. Sparks in all the colours rained down on them.

“SIRIUS BLACK!” Professor McGonagal’s shout echoed through the Gryffindor common room.

“Oops,” Sirius winced.

Prompt 30 - Intrigued

It had been two weeks since the trial. Evan had gone home. Barty was forced to go home, Sirius literally having to push him out of the Potter’s door. He and Remus had asked to stay on at Lily and James’s while the renovations were being taken care of at the house. Apparently, the other tenants had been more than happy to move out, helped along with the offer of free hotel rooms until they found their own place.

Work had quickly begun on the house, replacing doors that had been removed between rooms when the house was spilt. Pulling out all the kitchens and some of the bathrooms, but the biggest renovation was the entire bottom floor needed gutting of all the cooking equipment and a wall was being built where the shop window had been.

Everything had been quiet at the Potter’s. He’d been waiting for something, anything from his parents, but there was nothing. A few days later Sirius found out why.

He got a phone call from a Mr Binns, his parents' lawyer. He was exceedingly boring, Sirius had trouble concentrating long enough as he spoke with him on the phone to understand why he was calling. He wanted Sirius to come to his office as they had some paperwork to go through. Intrigued, Sirius and Remus arranged a time to meet.

“It’s very black and white, Mr Black,” Binns droned on. “Because your parents are no longer fit ti control the businesses, or the assets, everything has automatically been put into your name. They can not touch it. You, Mr Black, are now an exceedingly wealthy young man,” Sirius gaped at the breakdown of everything. He knew his family had money, but this was outrageous. He showed Remus and Remus choked on his own spit.

“Oh my gods!” They stared open-jawed at each other until Binns interrupted them.

“Please sign here, and it’s all yours,” Sirius picked up the pen and, with a final glance at Remus, signed on the dotted line.

Prompt 30 - Kick

“What do you mean I have to kick it? Where are the brooms? The goal posts?” Sirius stared at the white ball at his feet that Remus had just rolled there.

“It’s football, Sirius. It means your foot kicks the ball. So kick it!” Remus shouted over his shoulder as he jogged a short distance away. Sirius nudged it with his toe. It rocked forward and then returned to its original position. “Kick it!” Remus shouted, and he drew his foot back and kicked.

The ball soared over Remus’s head and landed at the other end of the field.

“Wow,” Remus said in awe. Sirius had to admit that had felt amazing.

Prompt 30 - Feast

James had had a good time in Hogsmeade. He hadn’t understood a single word the Veela had been singing, but that didn’t matter because Regulus had, and the sweet look on his face made everything worth it.

They’d made it back up to Gryffindor Tower. James pushed the dorm room door open and gasped at the sight before him. On the floor, laid out on a large tartan blanket, was a miniature feast. Pumpkin pasties, sausage rolls, mini quiches, scotch egg and pork pies. Then there were French fancies, little pots full of jelly, buns, caramel slices, scones with jam and cream and an entire chocolate cake. Sitting on cushions around it were his friends.

“Hey guys, we thought we could all do with a bit of bonding time,” Peter waved them over from his seat on the floor.

“Thank Merlin, you’re back. "I’ve had to hold Moony back from devouring the chocolate cake whole!” Sirius barked out a laugh while Remus looked sheepishly at James and Regulus.

“It’s not my fault. It’s right there,” Remus whined, pointing at the cake and somehow managing to snag a fingertip of ganache off the side.

“Remus John Lupin, you are an animal!” Sirius said, batting Remus’s hand away from the cake.

“Only once a month,” Remus winked at him. “Can we get stuck in now?”
