This Virginia Wolf quote reminds me so much of Elain Archeron. The girl who asked for sunshine during her darkest moments, after her deepest trauma. She’s now channeled that trauma into bringing more gardens to her world.

As she said, “The world needs more gardens,” and Elain deserves for her spring to come. I’m so excited to watch her finally get her happily ever after filled with sunshine and bloom.

@goghwilde are beyond excited to share this artwork of Elain! We envisioned Elain in a very Disney princess-esque magic scenario where she is pairing her love for party planning with nature and other elements. Very Cinderella and Snow White of her, indeed.

I find it to be so fun that Elain has such an attachment to balls and parties and seasons of being a lady and I cannot wait to see that spark come back into her life once she finds her footing and joy again. Elain commanding an entire ballroom? Now, that would be so incredibly interesting!

Elain, through her visions, is connected to Koschei and the other women imprisoned at his lake, where Vassa will soon be returning. I can’t wait for Elain’s journey to the continent with her mate alongside her. I imagine it being the perfect backdrop to Elain’s story with Lucien, one of growth and healing and adventures.

I love the spirit of this quote for Elain. She is destined for greater things. I see exploration and adventure in her future. The captain of her ship, navigating her own way to the places she wants to see and things she has yet to discover about herself, about Prythian and beyond.
