DAY 5: Family and Friends

I love Elain!! she’s just the prettiest <3 so I just had to participate for Elain week. The soft pink of her dress, the pearls, just everything! @elainweekofficial

since it was Family and Friends day I drew her with my insert character, Gisella. I think they’d get along swell, my sweet girls <3 happy Elain week everyone!

Spring Court. Late Aftenoon

The garden is too quiet. The birds are singing, the roses are blooming, the sun is shining... and Elain knews Tamlin is about to do something weird.

She’s trimming a vine when she hears him behind her.

Tamlin: “You know, if someone buried a body under the daisy patch, no one would ever suspect.”

Elain: (not turning around) “I’m begging you to start a conversation like a normal person for once.”

Tamlin: “This is a normal conversation. In my head.”

Elain: “Have you considered therapy?”

Tamlin: “Briefly. Then I considered just raising a few ghosts and talking to them instead.”

She sighs and finally turns to face him. He’s leaning against a tree, arms crossed, expression unreadable—except for the faintest twitch of a smirk that makes her deeply suspicious.

Elain: “I swear, you are getting weirder day by day since I moved in.”

Tamlin: “That’s bold coming from the girl who sings lullabies to her bread dough.”

Elain: “That dough has feelings, Tamlin.”

Tamlin: “And I have intrusive thoughts.”

Elain: “...Like what?”

Tamlin: “Like whether I could fake my own death and haunt my enemies just to scare the hell out of them and make them think of me all the time.”

She drops the vine she was holding.

Elain: “That’s not funny.”

Tamlin: “I wasn’t joking.”

Elain: (quietly) “Are you okay?”

Tamlin: (blinks, caught off guard) “I’m fine.”

Elain: “‘Fine’ like High Lord fine or ‘fine’ like ‘I talk to the crows and they answer’ fine?”

Tamlin: “They don’t answer me. They just listen very politely.”

Elain: “Okay. That’s it. I’m making tea. You’re going to sit down and not mention death, ghosts, or hypothetical murders.”

Tamlin: “Even if the tea tastes like betrayal?”

Elain: “If it does, I’ll know you made it.”

Tamlin: “I’m sensing a lot of hostility.”

Elain: “I’m sensing a lot of unprocessed trauma.”

Tamlin: “Touché.”

She sighs again but grabs his arm and pulls him toward the manor like she’s done this a thousand times. Maybe she has. It’s exhausting—but he follows, obedient in his own odd way.

And as they walk, she mutters:

Elain: “You ever say something normal, I’ll faint on the spot.”

Tamlin: “Then I’m saving lives by being deeply unwell.”

Happy Day Five of Elain Appreciation Week: Family & Friends @elainweekofficial

A letter from Elain to Nesta, trying to keep holding out her hand. Perhaps she sent it, perhaps she didn't. But I like to imagine her trying to think of other ways to help even though Nesta was pushing her away.

So heartfelt and shows how Elain will do as much as she can for her family.

“She loved balls and parties.” I cannot wait to see Elain find her joy again. I envision her happily hosting everything from garden parties to grand balls. Sipping tea and dancing the night away with friends and family.

DAY FIVE • FAMILY and FRIENDS @elainweekofficial

Oh this is such a gorgeous board of our girls 🥹

I unfortunately will not be able to finish the fic I had planned for Elain week today, but enjoy some head cannons I have for the prompt friends and family.

-Elain uses some of Feyre’s paintings as a way to inspire some of her cake decorating.

-When Elain gets annoyed with the way someone acts, she pranks them by putting salt instead of sugar into the cookies, and watches them eat them.

-Nuala and Cerridwen teach Elain how to winnow, because she feels they are the only two that listen to her without bias, and will teach her how to do it.

-When Lucien visits Elain in the gardens he impresses her with all the flowers and plants he knows and their purposes.

-Feyre, Elain, and Nesta bake together one year for solstice and Azriel comments on how much of a disaster the kitchen looks like but they could care less.

-Elain takes Nyx out for picnics and walks in her garden and teaches him how to plant flowers.

-Elain enjoys going on n flights with Rhysand the most.

-Mor and Elain became bond over their love for dresses.

-Vassa and Elain love talking about adventures.

-When Lucien takes Elain to the Autumn Court, her wanting to see where he grew up and to meet his mother (Beron is no longer high lord), her and Lucien pick apples from the orchards and make apple pies with them since apple pies are his mothers favorites.

-Elain gets along well with Eris’s hounds, and his hounds absolutely adore her.

-Elain travels the continent with her family.

The tragedy of losing a home, but the opportunity to build another. Home is, as they say, where the heart is.

I always wondered what Lucien may have felt when he reached the end of Elain’s bond, and what Elain may have meant when she said that all she needed was sunshine. A future built off of the backs of two people seemingly lost in this world who found their way to one another. (Ft. Grandpa’s sunshine)

Elain Week 2025 Day 5: Family and Friends

If Urstin did discover her family in Prythian held influence when the tensions with Koschei increase, perhaps she would finally write back. Nesta would probably say good riddance, but also recognize the importance of helping save all those innocent human lives. As the Night Court’s emissary, and friend of two humans, Lucien would travel to the continent to assist with the growing conflict. Elain would convince everyone getting closer would amplify her ability to see Koschei’s movements, and her kindness would be good for further bridging trust between the humans and faeries.

Cerridwen ~ Elain ~ Nuala

One thing I love about this series is the Archeron Sisters and their own found family. Feyre with the IC, Nesta with the Valkyries, and Elain with the twins.

I’ve had this drawing in my drafts for a while, waiting on the motivation to finish it and today’s prompt seemed like the perfect day to share! In this piece I imagine the girls sitting for a ‘family portrait’ painted by Feyre. Cerridwen on the left and Nuala on the right. ☺️

I’ve never drawn Nuala and Cerridwen before so I had a lot of fun designing their characters here. Despite it being the first time drawing them, they came so naturally to me. I knew exactly how I wanted to portray them and their relationship with Elain! It may not be how everyone sees them, but it’s how I picture them. I hope you like them!! 💖
