2023 Video Game Tracker

So I did this thing last year where I mandated I finish a game every month. Said I wouldn't do it again, BUT now I feel like I gotta keep @drdoofwarrior accountable for doing that this year.

January - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All was finished

SOME caveats for my journey this year:

I'm gonna be more lenient on myself. I wanna get at least 12 done, if that means two are in one month and a longer one pushes past the calendar month then so be it.

I'm also gonna allow for DLC Completes IF it's a DLC with a defined story. So for example: The Breath of the Wild DLC masks/clothes would not have counted, but the Champions' Ballad would have. I do legitimately have DLC stories on my backlog. (NOTE: If a DLC released before I play a game, I cannot count it separately from the game.)

Final note: The spirit of last year was "I want to game regularly and not have so much time between gaming." The stated goal was a Backlog Buster. The spirit meant I counted new games, which might have seemed wrong for Backlog Busting. Just saying: I am going by that spirit. Do not be surprised when Tears of the Kingdom is on this.

February - Metroid Prime Remastered was finished

This was a genuine backlog game. It coming out on Switch did really help, though.

April 3rd - The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog was finished

Adding a day because I will finish multiple games this month.

April 11th - Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Game was finished

May 1st - Horizon Forbidden West: The Burning Shores (DLC Campaign) was finished

June 9th - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was finished

July 6th - Star Wars: Jedi Survivor was finished

August 24th - Tunic was completed

October 10th - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations was finished

As a bonus, this also means The Ace Attorney Trilogy is done

Gonna try real hard to get another game done before Spider-Man 2 comes out. Anyone know what the play length on Homebody is? Have that downloaded to my Steam Deck.

October 14th - Homebody was finished

October 25th - Spider-Man 2 was finished

DANG this is a good game.

Also, dang, three scores in October and I'm officially ahead by a month.

November 6th - Night in the Woods was finished

That's 12 and this year done a month early.

No Way I'm doing this a third year since year two was to encourage @drdoofwarrior to do the year.

November 18th - Bugsnax: The Isle of Bigsnax (DLC Campaign) was finished

This is 13 things, but it's still 2023, so I figured I'd still update this.

I certainly hope so

I don't want to be caught buying a Switch 2 and then like 6 months later they launch a Lite version

6 months would fall into sooner comparatively, so I'd recommend waiting before you adopt
