Remember that time Janeway got called to the bridge, but the combadge that received the call was being worn by Chakotay? And in the next scene, he's not wearing one?
Pray tell, what sort of situation would lead to these two getting dressed in such close physical proximity that they were able to accidentally switch combadges?
It took me forever to notice these details in this scene, lol But when I did, I was like wooooow! I couldn't come up with any other explanation for this scene other than "they did it, Your Honor!" Could it have been a hug? Oh, I don't think so. Hugs don't usually rip badges off people's clothes 😏 Could it have been an animation error? I doubt it. Usually in animations everything is intentional, but I could even believe that it was a mistake for Chakotay to briefly appear without his badge, if it had been at another time, and if before that his badge hadn't called the Admiral. Could it have been a communication error? Oh, please! 😂 So, no, there is no other type of situation that would lead two people to accidentally exchange their badges. And tell me: why did the producers choose to include this in the scene? To me, this scene and the compact mirror prove that they are canon. Would we like a kiss? Yes. But I think we lacked the courage to do so and we cannot forget that this is a children's program.
Janeway putting Tom and Harry in real danger so her holographic boyfriend doesn't get lost is the kind of canon event that I completely disregard. Like, what??? She would never do that! I hate whoever made her look like a complete idiot because of Michael.
But she finally had a chance to get some, and she deserved it
Sorry, but I disagree. Did she deserve a man who wasn't real, whose subroutines she had to change? Did she deserve behavior that was completely inconsistent with her personality? Everyone has their own opinion, but I vehemently disagree. This "romance" was a huge mistake, and the only thing it did to her was make her look weak, irresponsible, and needy, everything she wasn't.
Oh, I absolutely agree with you. I hate these episodes because it basically treats a woman like, you’ll feel better if you have sex.
Then when she does, she’s effectively punished for it because the holodeck malfunctions and endangers the ship.
It’s typical catholic sinner guilt crap. And it’s very beneath her.
Especially since, there’s been a man absolutely devoted to her for 7 years, who would give her the world happily, yet she’s written to be desperate for sex. Seriously?! It never bothered her before.
Yeah, truly despise these episodes.
Oh yeah, she's so desperate for sex… She refuses to have sex with a real, hot man, she refuses to have a romance with him… but she falls in love with random holograms and aliens because she's the needy type. The writers are idiots, lol
This is how endgame should have ended ❤️ this is what we would have deserved ❤️ and what JC would have deserved ❤️

Just another platonic dinner between coworkers… And it's not like they're having a totally normal dinner. Like, Chakotay is totally comfortable drinking while relaxing from a long day of work and listening to his wife complain about the synthesizer. And then the conversation they have… Totally flirtatious! Oh, please! Send this video to people who say JC is platonic and ask them if they'd like to see their boyfriend or husband having one of these platonic dinners with their coworker.
There’s also the fact that she actually served the food to his plate. That’s something a spouse would do. A friend would just set the plate down and let them serve themselves.
But no, she filled his plate for him. Because wife.
And see how she does it, without even asking him.
* um hábito antigo e íntimo!*
Chakotay is describing the place to Kathryn in a completely poetic and romantic platonic and professional way… And then we have Tom telling B'Elana that it's a perfect place for a romantic encounter.
Both Tom and Chakotay have engaged in romantic behavior, but only Tom can say it outright.
(Chakotay was even more romantic, though!)
Which episode is this?
I love how he says: “I wish you could see this, Captain.” Because you know by his tone of voice had they been alone, he’d have said Kathryn. But instead, the way he says “Captain” in that personal tone makes it sound like an endearment. There are times when she calls him Commander where it sounds like an endearment. Which goes with my head canon that they use their ranks as terms of endearments even long after they’ve been promoted out of those ranks.
Oh, yes I agree. The episode is One Small Step
This week's one-word photo prompt: crate
Chakotay set a captain trap with a crate and a coffee mug from the planet of giants. Kathryn couldn't resist inspecting the mug, and she and Chakotay had a hearty laugh when the crate came down over her. He quickly helped her out and apologized for the prank. She instantly forgave him, and the big cup of coffee was shared by both as they continued to laugh about the captain trap.
"The Voyager Conspiracy" (S06E9, Stardate 53329 ) reminds me of asking someone to rewrite a show's history 6 seasons in and not being able to make up your mind. There are moments of interesting theories, but weak writing + lethargic acting + telegraphed resolution = dull episode.
"The Voyager Conspiracy" is all about just that. So what better time to bring out the red string on a cork board then for my episode poster?
