I'm a trans woman but I feel the same way. The people who talk about how "men are trash" "I hate men" invariably treat me like a man if I'm ever too firm in my convictions or too assertive. You can't hate half of the population without being an awful piece of shit.

But more than that, connecting to the land you are on is an essential part of building a sense of community, connection, and a will to resist. Being sensitive to the natural world- by which I mean literally building up your familiarity with it to better understand your environment and what's happening in & to it, as well as your emotional connection to it- is a fundamental part of protecting and building up your own emotional depth & sensitivity.

Fascism, authoritarianism, and white supremacy all rely on shutting you down emotionally & numbing you to increasing terror, horrors, and cruelty. Joy is resistance. Community is resistance. Love is resistance. Grief is resistance. Sensitivity is resistance.

Don't just touch grass because the internet is toxic and out of touch. Do it because they are actively trying to take your connection to the land away because doing so makes you vulnerable, fearful, numb, disconnected, and easier to control.

It could be that it’s in a truly friendly, “genderless” manner, or it could be that you’re using it to purposefully misgender me, putting me in “my place.” Or, the most likely scenario: it could be that it was a Freudian slip and you don’t actually see me as a man. I’m 2016 I had a shoplifter role play blog because to avoid getting deleted all the shoplifting blogs claimed it was just to rp. Mine actually was though but I’d post shoplifting content and reblog tips and my “hauls” were just stuff I borrowed from my much more fashionable sister. I had a decent amount of followers and I got a lot of hate but I’d be like “ok buddy I’m just goofing around lol” and then post $150 of Sephora products legally purchased by my sister with the caption #gettingawaywithit. this did not improve my life but it did get me talking to people more often which, obviously, I needed

part of being erased means that plenty of transmascs are being murdered and they are simply being reported as women, its that fucking easy to understand

^ there's actually been studies that has proven to be the case. Transmascs are just as likely to be victims of violence as transfems. In a study I did with my prof during my masters in sociology (it was about violence towards trans folks in urban vs rural settings in the south), we found that news reports tended to erase the victim's transness frequently, either by referring only to their agab or by simply just using the name of the victim and omitting pronouns like 'he' or 'she'. In cases where the victim was undeniably trans, the news reports would use terms like 'crossdresser' or phrases like '[Deadname], who went by [ChosenName]'

However, this exclusively happened with transfems. We found no equivalent happening with transmascs. In fact is was very hard to find any news reports that would could comfortably say that the victim was transmasc. The few times we found any was because the family/friends of the victim would advocate on their behalf to get them correctly identified. However, we know this violence happens because when interviews were conducted in separate studies, it was proven to be the case, but the erasure is just that prevalent
