The court's current liberal majority struck down extreme legislative gerrymanders on party lines; it is likely that that ruling will be overturned if the Republican-backed candidate wins.

This criminal belongs in jail. Anyone who owns his products or his stocks is actively helping to fund Fascism.

And nothing will be done about it because there is no goddamn law anymore. The Dems are fully content to let Elon Musk literally buy them out of power. He truly is committing a federal felony and should be deported for this. Yet no one is even seriously calling for it.

There is no law anymore. Only what the GOP wants.

Look. Like it or not, voters rejected the Democrats last year. Voters made sure that the Republicans would be in full control of all three branches of the government.

There is no power base the congressional Democrats can operate from right now. They can’t start investigations. They can’t hold hearings. They are the minority party in both houses of Congress right now.

And yanno? This is the exact fucking thing that all of us who were screaming about how fucking important this election was all through 2024 kept trying to tell left-leaning voters, and left-leaning voters didn’t fucking care. They voted third party, or they didn’t bother to vote at all. And now they’re screaming that the Democrats who they refused to vote for aren’t doing anything.

I get that we’re all angry and scared. I’m angry and scared. But deciding that the Democrats are the real problem is how we ended up here in the first place.

First, I am a left-leaning voter. I voted Kamala. Not all of us are asshole third-party voters who ensured this happened.

And second, I do want to bring up how when the GOP was the minority every minute in the past decade THEY PULLED OUT EVERY STOP, BLOCKED EVERY NOMINEE POSSIBLE, AND RAISED SO MUCH HELL THEY FUCKING ATTACKED DC. THEY DID NOT PLAY NICE.

I guess all I'm saying is even a little but of resistance might be nice? Truly, am I wrong for feeling entirely left to the wolves here? There isn't even modest push back going on anywhere in the DNC with any sort of swing. Only ones doing anything whatsoever are Bernie and AOC.

Trump is now on record saying he is SERIOUSLY looking into third-terming his way around the constitution. We already know the courts won't stop him. This is the very last step towards The Point of No Return. World War 3 is on the goddamn line.

Even with a powerless minority, Schumer, Jeffries, Newsome (who's is outright in bed with the right now) can at least try and resist. Throw out more lawsuits. IF YOU DONT HAVE THE POWER TO BEAT THEM, BE A THORN IN THEIR SIDES AND REAIST EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!

But I don't know what context this shirt-ripping scene occurs in, and I can't imagine there's much of a context in MAAN where it would assist the story. But maybe I don't remember the play that well, idk.
