2) does the host have any other role?

To be honest I don’t know! I feel like my role is primarily to keep us safe in the outside world and generally make decisions that are good for all of us. And I have a desire to find healthy outlets for other members of the system who don’t front as much. Idk if that aligns with any sort of traditional alter roles but I think of being host as a bit of a responsibility to the whole.

7) does your system go through stages of inactivity? (no headmate interaction at all, just the host)

Yes. I’ve mentioned it before but we had a really tumultuous time several years ago that resulted in a split, and even after I returned to front after that, I couldn’t communicate with others and after a while totally forgot about them. I did not know we were a system at the time (I didn’t know what a system was!) so I had this general sense of “wrongness” that I couldn’t place or describe for a couple of years. Rediscovering them and also learning about PDID was actually an enormous relief.

When life is super super busy sometimes communication gets harder, but I tend to always feel a sense of familiarity, like I know they’re there even if we can’t talk.

5) why do headmates typically co-front/co-con?

Everyone has different reasons & triggers..

Red is usually around when a situation is really stressful and hard to handle.

Navy is brought forward by things he likes & especially opportunities to flirt and dominate and mess with people. When he’s co-con we tend to get in a bit of a confused & slightly manic headspace.

Jelus is triggered by fears of being abandoned, but he also enjoys French food and movies so those tend to bring him closer to front in a healthier way.

16) how easy or hard is internal communication for your system?

It changes a lot depending on our mental state and stress. Sometimes I feel totally blocked from them which is frustrating, but in general they’ll pop up when I try to talk to them. Often words are unclear and we’ll communicate with images and feelings.

11) do you have any funny stories of your headmates passively influencing your decisions?

One time I went out with my bf and got a little tipsy and kept calling the waiter “darling.” ….. I did not realize this was passive influence from Navy until I read this question and he beamed that into my head 🥲

12) do you have a headspace/innerworld?

Yeahh we all live in a house together that shifts and changes to our needs… I live in the main part of the house but there are a lot of secret doorways and passages that lead to where the others live. There’s a passage on the upper right side of the house that leads to Navy’s office and various other things…… Red has something going on under the house idk what that’s about…. Jelus is still figuring out what kind of a space feels right for him…. And there’s an indoor pool with a secret passage that leads outside and down into Lil Imp’s Grotto.

The house itself is also a sort of alter named Delirium ❤️
