Well the Mandela Catalog, to nutshell, has entities called 'alternates' that's main way of dealing with people they replace is to convince them to off themselves with mental torture so, very much fitting for it to be in the song about an alternate dealing with a human who just happened to be unlucky enough to be targeted by one.

I am working on a little project that involves MLP ponies. I headcanon that the ponies in the show are all sort of mixed breeds, which explains stuff like the Cakes having a unicorn and pegasus kid despite being earth ponies, and Scootaloo and Fluttershy having issues flying to various degrees.
These guys are like, purebreed ponies, living in a society where the different species are living apart from each other and only really interbreed with each other, which means certain traits get exacerbated and show up more often specifically in these species.
