Sonic obliviousness is mostly harmless... Until mixed with Omega's blatant honestly

"If I don't reply by tomorrow, then consider me dead." It's been two years since you got that message, and you haven't seen them since. Suddenly, your phone lights up: "Sorry, that took longer than I thought."
So am I the only one thinking this sounds like what happens after the big bad of every JoJo Arc finishes?? Just me? Okay. :)
I mean... is this prompt not basically the modern equivalent of Joseph Joestar crashing his own funeral?
So! When Danny first saw a Ghost attacking his school, he was still terrified of his parents finding out about his Powers.
He looked exactly the same in his Ghost Form, sounded the same, he even had the Hazmat Suit his parents had custom made for him on as a Ghost. There was no way anybody wouldn't immediately find him out if he tried to stop Lunch Lady with his Powers, it was so obvious!
But he couldn't just leave her there. She had crossed through the Portal that he opened, and was attacking his friends. He needed to stop her somehow!
So he tried, he just didn't use his Powers. He stole a bunch of his parents Inventions, fixed the broken ones so they actually worked, and ran in to stop Lunch Lady as a Human. The battle lasted far longer than he would have liked, but eventually he managed to stop her and shove her into the Thermos.
And from there on out, he just kept doing it. Danny became the Town's defacto Hero, since his parents were too Incompetent and he had the ability to actually beat the Ghosts, he had to protect the people he had endangered.
Soon enough people began to notice his Heroics. Mr Lancer didn't stop him when he ran out of the classroom, Dash stopped shoving him in Lockers, and his parents were Ecstatic when they found out he had gone into the "Family Business".
He still kept his Ghost Form hidden from his parents and the Public though. It was still too dangerous.
He only ever used his Ghost Form while in the Ghost Zone so he could blend in, and avoid being attacked by the multiple Ghosts who he had forced back in there. Danny Fenton was a Ghost Hunter, Phantom was just another Ghost wandering the Ghost Zone.
(Though he did gain some infamy by defeating some powerful ghosts, like Aragon or Plasmius)
Years down the line, Fenton remained the respected Ghost Hunting Hero of Amity Park, his greatest accomplishment being the defeat of Pariah Dark, the Ghost King.
That battle had actually drawn outside attention to the town for a change, and it wasn't long before Danny was offered a spot on the Justice League's Junior Team. It wasn't every day when the evil Ruler of another Dimension was defeated by a non-powered Human, so it actually sparked some interest in the Town.
Unfortunately, Danny couldn't accept the Invitation.
If he joined the Justice League, it ws only a matter of time before one of their multitude of Magic Users realized the truth and outed him as a Ghost. He couldn't take that chance.
He was content staying as a small town Hero dealing with a "minor" Ghost Problem, no need to overcomplicate matters.
That is, until the JL contacted him again a few months later. Apparently, their Time Travelers had warned of an Evil Ghost known as Phantom, who would one day grow so powerful he would destroy the world and leave it in ruins. They needed his help as an expert Ghost Hunter to track down Phantom, for the safety of the world.
Problem. This version of Danny had never actually met Dan, since his history went so differently. Now he is terrified of what event could have led to him becoming the Worst Supervillain in History.
Alright the idea that Fenton is a known hero instead of Phantom definitely opens the possibility for a lot of potential differences as a result.
Maybe because Danny is operating as a human ghost hunter and thus rarely interacts with ghosts outside of it so he never meets Frostbite or Dairy King to realize not all ghosts are villains, let alone someone in DC like Deadman.
Maybe he comes to believe his parents and the GIW regarding the research that leads to the Anti-Ecto Acts. He hears both sides talk about ghosts are nothing but pure evil and believes the only reason he's not like the ghosts is due to being Half-Human, but wonders if his parents and the GIW would ever believe him.
I'd also say his relationship with Vlad would be way different as I imagine Plasmius better hides his Halfa nature from Danny if he's established himself as a hero by the time they meet, but definitely catches on to Danny's own ghostly nature by recognizing the signs he's not completely mastered his powers and neglects training them beyond just trying to keep himself from dropping stuff and slipping into the floor.
So instead of just trying to get Danny to renounce Jack immediately, Vlad sends Danny a new ghost hunting suit (basically the counterpart of Valerie's original suit in canon, but I personally think it would be dark blue with a more spacesuit inspired theme to tie into Danny's own interests) and tries to win the boy's favor before he attempts anything further than he's done.
If you wanna turn up the angst, what if Danny hands the ghosts he catches over to his parents and/or the GIW, often trying to ignore the sharp sting in his chest (in his core) because he knows fully well what will happen to the ghosts.
As for how Dan comes to be... I have an idea.
What if in the original timeline the Justice League/Justice League Dark find out about the Anti-Ecto Acts and recognize the research is biased and completely flawed upon closer inspection, basically realizing they were saying every single ghost is as sapient and malicious as a shade.
So eventually the heroes pull Danny aside as while they recognize he's compliant with the Anti-Ecto Acts, he's also like 14-15 and was likely conditioned by the influence of the GIW and Fenton Parents to not know better. So they then try to explain to Danny the truth...
Which causes him to emotionally shatter because they basically just told Fenton he was responsible for the end of countless ghosts who were actually sentient and more than Ecto Scum made of nothing but evil. And as a protection spirit, he basically snaps as the ghostly instincts he's been suppressing this whole time come to the surface and completely take over, amplifying his broken emotional state and anger into a more destructive and volatile state.
Phantom gained a desire to atone for all the ghosts he helped end, and to ensure no Ghost Hunter can harm a ghost ever again. No matter what.
As a result, Phantom would appear as a ghost villain basically ravaging and destroying government bases that the Justice League were sent to stop... Only to get caught in the crossfire of the Halfa's rampage, they didn't stand a chance when they never knew the full capabilities of the ghost boy.
Even Vlad fell victim before he could ever try to manipulate or use his powers, only turned to ashes alongside his parents when he burned down a GIW Base after locking them inside alongside a bunch of other agents.
He was conditioned by them all into their vessel of destruction for the Ghost Zone... Now, he'll do the same for the Earth in the name of seeking redemption for those he's ended in the land of the Infinite.
Basically: Phantom is a Danny who stopped neglecting his Ghost Side and now basically only a Ghost and neglecting his Human Side and forgoing his humanity to atone for his crimes against ghost kind, instead of vice versa with present Danny.
How dare you hide this in the tags.
So, I've seen a couple stories where Danny is Damian's clone. How about we reverse it?
Danny was born Damian Al Ghul, being raised to be an assassin since he could walk. However, he had a good heart, and eventually his mother overstepped around him (maybe she killed one of his favorite caretakers? Maybe he saw her killing someone with a loving family?), causing him to decide to leave the League next time they let him outside.
He was discovered by the Fentons, got adopted, and had his name changed from Damian Al Ghul into Daniel 'Danny' Fenton. Over the years, his time in the League slowly faded from memory, only remembering that one moment that drove him from them.
Talia, meanwhile, tried to create another baby, but found she didn't have any more DNA from Bruce. However, she did have plenty of Damian/Danny's DNA, so she decided to simply clone her son, making sure that this one would never get it in his head to run away. She decided to let the memory of her first son go, completely overriding it with the new Damian, as if he had been the first son and not merely some clone, forcing everyone in the League to keep the fact a secret.
So, things continue on, Danny becomes Phantom, Damian becomes Robin, so on and so forth. Eventually, one of the Batclan stumble upon Danny and take an interest in him once they realize he looks like Damian.
They actually don't think that he's a clone, because he's older than Damian and records show him having a history older than Damian, so they believe that Talia had another child, which Damian is already a little salty about, because it means that his status as the heir of the League and potentially his title as the only blood son of batman are completely meaningless.
Unfortunately, their investigations lead to the League figuring out where Danny is, at which point Talia drops by and decides to reveal in front of everyone that Danny is the original Damian and Damian is a clone meant to take his place.
The only one who takes it well is Danny, who tells everyone to get off his porch before he activates the home defense systems because he does not care for this drama.
The teen, the ORIGINAL Damian, stood there with a dazed look on his face in the dead of night. Only taking a moment to blink and look at all the people outside their house… “FentonWorks” according to the massive neon green sign outside.
The resemblance this Damian had to his younger clone was pretty hard to miss, the only difference besides clothes was the dark blue eyes compared to Damian's typical green and his longer mess of spiky black hair.
At first they believed him to be a lost older sibling of Damian, but it was a shock to all parties to find out that the Damian they knew and loved was not the original. To know that somewhere out there, there was an original who came before their brother and that said brother was merely a replacement goldfish.
…Well a shock to everyone but the teenager, who still looked a bit dazed and confused before recognition and realization hit him. The recognition caused Talia to grin.
“Ah, about time Damian… I knew you'd recognize your own moth-”
“The hell do you fucking want?”
The teenage Damian finally spoke, cutting Talia off. Now that they were listening more closely, he sounded almost exactly like Robin with the only difference being he was a bit deeper and far more casual, lacking any sense of his counterpart’s formal way of speaking.
Talia’s smirk faltered before dropping as she heard the complete disrespect.
“Excuse me, young man!? I am-”
“The psycho bitch of a mom who I ran away from, blah blah spare me the speech, Talia.”
The older Damian looked at his shirt and wiped some dust off, not even bothering to look at his supposed mother as he spoke.
“And I take it the gothic furry with the brigade of pre-teens and younger adults is my bio dad?”
Damian looked up, but only seemed to keep an eye on Bruce before looking at the other Bats and Birds, his eyes eventually stopped on Robin.
…Stopped on his younger clone.
He muttered to himself, “Tt, can't believe she cloned me though. What's that one saying, something something… two nickels? Or would that be three now technically…”
Damian paused before looking up and seemed to be absentmindedly talking to himself about some concerning details, clearly his original hasn't exactly lived a completely normal life after leaving the League.
However it seems Talia had grown fed up with him ignoring her, as she drew out a knife from her sleeve and went for a quick slash. Actually causing the older Dami to dodge with a surprised look on instinct. But he wasn't fast enough to not get a small scrape on the cheek.
“Hmph. I see you haven't forgotten your roots completely, good. You shall make a fine Demon Head as is your birthright!”
Damian meanwhile then snarls as he notices the cut on his cheek, though for a moment in the reflection of the moonlight… they could have sworn his eyes were now glowing green… almost like Jason’s eyes when he was aggravated. What the Bats have dubbed as Pit Madness.
“Look, I'm only going to say this once ‘mother’. It is 1 in the fucking morning, I have school tomorrow, and I have not slept in the last 24 hours because Jazz and I have been working on getting ghosts sent back to the Ghost Zone before my parents rip them apart molecule by molecule. So kindly leave now and never return… before I make you leave by force.”
They didn't miss how Damian talked about his adoptive parents, Jack and Maddie Fenton, or his sister Jasmine Fenton.
Talia grinned at this more aggressive attitude, “Heh… you seem attached to those you call your family, it would be shame if our men decided to ‘dispose’ of- UGH!?”
Suddenly Talia was knocked back with a quick strike to the gut by a FentonWorks branded baseball bat, a darker look on Damian’s face as he looked serious and-
If it wasn't clear before, they could see the Damian in the original especially with the now more intense glow in his eyes, yet looked so stoic and composed.
“If you even dare think of hurting my parents or Jazz, trust me… there is no force on this planet that will save you from what I will do.”
The assassin got up with a growl before rushing at him, “Is that a threat?”
Damian kept a cold look as he sounded almost ashamed of himself…
“IT'S. A. FACT.”
…As Talia phased right through Damian as he turned intangible.
“Wh-what? When… How did you-!?”
Suddenly, just as Talia turned around, she was hit in the mouth by the bat this time. The impact shattered her teeth and forcing her to throw up a pile of blood and tooth fragments.
“You-”
She trailed off as she looked up, only to see Damian standing in front of the moon. His hair looked more wispy and his eyes now fully glowed that familar Lazarus green. He barely moved, not even visibly breathing… if he was breathing at all.
The last thing she saw was him suddenly moving and hitting her in the skull with the bat, knocking her into a tree and rendering her unconscious.
After a moment, the original Damian lowered his guard yet still had that wispy hair and those glowing eyes.
“By the Ancients, I thought she'd never shut up.”
Bruce remained silent before reaching out a hand, “Damian, I-”
“Danny."
His eyes shifted to Batman a bit, looking down at Talia as he returned to normal, his eyes becoming that icy blue and his hair fell back down.
"My name is Danny. I haven't been Damian for a very long time, and… the name isn't mine anymore it seems.”
He then finally looked back at Robin before getting closer, crouching down and removing the mask.
“Heh… so I guess you're my replacement then?”
He seemed amused and casual, like he didn't just knock out their blood mother less than a minute ago.
“In.. indeed. I suppose you probably want to take my place in the fam-”
Damian seemed uncertain before Danny seemed to smirk and put a hand on his shoulder.
“Relax, I have no interest in taking your place. This,” He gestured to Amity Park around him, “Is where I belong. And if you're feeling insecure and threatened about your position as a clone, that you feel you're living my life, so trust me when I say you're your own person regardless of what you or anyone else says.”
Danny then put a hand on his shoulder before getting up.
“Besides, the League of Assassins and title of Demon Head have brought me nothing but trouble, always have been even into the damn Infinite. You keep it!”
The Fenton waved a hand dismissively and turned around as he was walking back into his house, stopping by the door.
“But hey, if you're still uncertain despite that… I can set you up with my other clones or my sister. Dani and Dan will love having another brother to play with, while Jazz I feel would have a field day psychoanalyzing you.”
He turned around with a soft smile, before closing the door.
...
Jason then turned to Tim, “Are we sure being a stoic vigilante with a moral code isn't in Bruce's genetics? Because I'm pretty sure it is at this point with the Demon Brat and now his original.”
Tim then dryly commented, “Two is a coincidence, but three is a pattern. The only way to know for sure is to find a new son/clone of B out there.”
Meanwhile somewhere else in the world, Amanda Waller sneezed.
anyone remember when the combination kfc/long john silvers in my hometown just fucking exploded one night
i don't think danny phantom did this he's a cartoon and a ghost and this was real life
idk man, they made a whole movie about stuff like that happening

(Looks outside at a burning planet)
Yeah, checks out.
So we all know Peter is broke. Not “Oh no, I can’t afford takeout” broke—real broke. Like digging through couch cushions for subway fare broke. Desperate times, desperate measures. He signs up for one of those gig apps—y’know, the ones where you do odd jobs for cash. Just a little side hustle. First job? Deliver a package. Easy. Swing across town, drop it off, collect $50. Simple, right? Wrong. Because as soon as he hands it over, the guy runs for his life. And the next thing Peter knows? He’s surrounded. Black SUVs. Shady men in suits. One guy speaking into an earpiece like he’s in a spy thriller. Peter sighs. “Okay, so I definitely just delivered illegal contraband, didn’t I?” A guy pulls out a badge. “FBI. Step away from the package.” Peter considers running, but another dude steps up. “Wait… Spider-Man? Oh my god, did we just sting Spider-Man?” And now everyone is panicking because apparently, the FBI just tricked a superhero into doing crime. Peter groans. “Yeah, I knew $50 was too good to be true.” Peter spent the next two hours in an interrogation room while Nick Fury gives the most furious death stare with his only eye ball
I found this on YouTube so I'm reblogging the original to help get this more attention.
However I am also just imagining Spider-Man suing the FBI for entrapment because all Peter knew was that he was being paid 50 bucks to deliver a package and probably winning the case.
However I feel the situation itself raises more attention to the public of the broader issue regarding heroes like Spider-Man who barely get paid at all for hero work to maintain their secret identity and protect the ones closest to them, thus being forced to take odd jobs to barely keep their head above the water.
BTW quick word because it's gonna start to spread fast:
For more information, consult this post breaking down the entire problem, but for the TL: DR;
Karl lost the lawsuit due to both his lawyer team fucking up at an essential moment, and the judge being entirely unaware of how the internet works; the reason people are believing he is lying is because due to the fact that Bill kept amending the lawsuit to add even more reasons Karl was being libelous, which included comments regarding ApolloLegend's suicide being caused by monetary issues due to his own lawsuit brought by Bill that led Apollo to have to delete various videos, and there is just so much, genuinely read the post explaining it all in detail
The original Reddit post is deleted but... Reblogging this to spread the word.
Danny somehow manages to get a job working as a server during a gala event. The uniform sucks, but he wasn’t about to complain when he was desperate for any job right now. He had to flee from Amity after his parents discovered that he was Phantom with almost nothing, but the clothes on his back. So the uniform was definitely worth it with how much he was getting paid.
What wasn’t worth it though was the amount of rich fruitloops that have approached him. Everytime he turned around someone was there and wanted to ask him questions. Asking things like why he was dressed as a server, and calling him by the name of Tim. It wasn't hard to figure out that everyone thought he was Tim Drake-Wayne.
He knows that the Waynes are known for black hair and blue eyes, but for him to be getting this much attention for it is just getting ridiculous at this point. Danny would have just brushed it under the rug as it being a rich people are just weird thing. If it hadn’t been for the fact that Dick Grayson, the oldest Wayne child, had grabbed him coming out of the kitchen and into a secluded area.
“Tim, what are you doing; why are you dressed as a server? Everyone here knows your face, now is not the time to be going undercover!” Dick whispers while looking for anyone that might be watching them. “Go change back into your normal clothes. Well talk about whatever this is back in the cave ok?”
The fact that Tim Drake goes undercover was probably not something Danny was supposed to know. Also, did he say cave? As in the Bat-Cave? A rock settles in Danny stomach as he realizes that the Wayne's are the bats. Which is definitely not something he should know.
Before Danny can think of anything to say that will get him out of this situation without any problems a voice is already calling out, "Dick! What are you doing back here?"
The owner of the voice is of course none other than Tim Drake himself. This wasn’t going to end well Danny thought to himself as he watch Dick looked between himself and Tim.
How did this become his life.
Danny looked back at Dick pleadingly, eyes big and doe-like.
"I tried to tell you, now look what you've done! Now I know a secret I'm not supposed to, I just wanted to do my jooobb. Please just let me do my job Mr. Grayson..."
He looked so dejected and desperate, it was kind of sad. He knew it though, Danny just didn't care, he wanted to get out of here so he could go back to making bank.
Y'know, to live.
Well- half-live.
Anyways! ....The older looked so confused and worried and now the real Tim is glaring at him suspiciously.... "Oh fudge," Danny thought he said internally. "Don't kidnap me and erase my memory?" He asked.
Tim sighed heavily and pinched his nose. Dick squeaked before-
~~~~~~~~~~~◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇~~~~~~~~~~
Listen. Dick panicked. You can't blame him for punching his little brother's doppelganger in the face when there were two Little Timmies in front of him.
... Timmy does not look at all happy with what is happening....
Infact, he looks more tired than usual. And exasperated. And annoyed. And hes glaring at Dick now. And-
Well. Not happy, that's for certain.
Dick smiles at him.
He regrets it almost immediately.
It was a few hours later when Danny woke up feeling hazy on some sort of bed, his vision blurred by the bright lights and felt something hooked up to him while hearing beeping.
He could faintly hear words from someone right next to him, but couldn't make out what was being said specifically.
Now a rational person would assume this is a hospital or something similar...
...Someone who has lived the life Danny was not rational and naturally assumed something far worse even if it made no immediate logical sense.
The Halfa immediately jolted awake by sheer adrenaline and kicked whoever was talking as he jumped to his feet.
Suddenly someone else immediately rushed to grab him as he had an arm around Danny's neck, multiple voices were screaming.
However Phantom bit the arm causing the grabber to scream before the ghost boy threw the figure over his shoulder and onto the ground as they landed on their back.
Danny growled before finally his vision began to focus and...
...Realized it was the Wayne's, not even in masks as the Bats. just the Waynes. Though all were now on guard except-
"-ucker bites like a goddamn badger! Are we sure he's not a clone of Timmy!?"
He looked down at one Jason Todd on the ground, clutching his arm with a very noticeable bite mark. Meanwhile off to the side, Bruce Wayne has his arm gripping the side of his body indicating he was the one Danny initially kicked away.
The half-ghost hero immediately nervously chuckled before crouching down and trying to help Todd to his feet.
"Uh... Sorry bout that, I uh... Sort of panicked and thought I was in a worst position."
He focused on the Wayne's with an uncertain smile to hide his fears.
"You're trained, not well... But you clearly have fought before."
Bruce noticed with a glare, causing Danny to frown and rub the back of his head.
"I uh... Lived in a ghost town, literally. You're not gonna wipe my memory after Mr. Grayson accidentally mistook me for Mr. Drake and basically revealed you're the Bats right?"
The Bats looked between each other before glaring at Dick who noticed the looks and rightfully countered with, "Well can you blame me for assuming he was Tim trying to go undercover for some stupid reason!?"
"I mean the little shit is certainly as feral." Jason chuckled from the side.
Tim raised an eyebrow as he finally spoke, "That remains to be seen Mr. Nightingale. Or do you prefer Phantom, Mr. Fenton?"
The ghost boy felt his blood run cold as his supposed doppelganger turned a laptop towards Danny, showing a photo of Phantom being wanted and a zoomed in picture from a family photo of Danny Fenton with a red X over him.
Details of the article listed how the Ghost boy supposedly killed and impersonated the Fenton's now deceased son, with lies of calling himself Half Ghost when he was discovered months prior.
...Danny suddenly wishes he could go back to when his only problem was Grayson thinking he was Tim.
So I had a thought on thinking it would be cute if a Werewolf and a Kitsune dated... But on the other hand I think it would be hilarious if Werewolves and Kitsunes just had unimaginable beef with each other.
Werewolves should hate Kitsunes because they are animals who the wolves believe can disguise themselves as humans and freely shift between forms, allowing them to easily blend into society and don't have to worry about occasionally transforming against their will whenever there is a full moon or in some cases giving into the beastly instincts the form gives them depending on the type of werewolf they are
While Kitsunes should hate Werewolves because of them being big humanoid dogs, which the fox spirits already have an innate fear or hatred of according to mythology as dogs can sniff out and see through their illusions. As well as just how they don't have to worry about their human disguise being seen through in general.
As a result Werewolves and Kitsunes would 100% throw hands on sight, and in this essay I will-
