▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ┗━°⌜ L O K I ODINSON | MCU ⌟°━┛ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃

  • Prince of Asgard, Rightful heir of Jotunheim ... Odinson.
  • One and only God of Mischief
  • Son of King Laufey the Frost Giant raised as Asgardian
  • Unfortunately, he didn't know this until about 10 years ago and had an entire identity crisis about it... (just a lil one)
  • Decided to spite his dad and brother by committing treason and conquering a whole realm (after also attempting genocide, and throwing himself into the void of Yggdrasil)
  • Disowned his mom, and then almost immediately she died
  • Had an entire mental breakdown again
  • Pretended to be Odin for four years after faking his death... again
  • Reunited with his brother to bring about Ragnarok... destroying a whole society ......... again......
  • Picked up a very special little blue cube :DDDD
  • Pledging loyalty to his brother, he sacrificed himself - with the cycles broken, his story ends... or does it?
  • One thing remains true: ❝ He cannot be trusted. ❞

LINK WATCHED WARILY as the man disappeared into think air and teleported elsewhere ; reminded , however briefly , of how the waterblight had twitched and moved . thought at least THEN , the sheikah tech it had absorbed along with the body had given its position away .

LINK DID NOT THINK THAT he liked this guy's teleportation shtick much better .

are you always this amicable?

BEFORE THE MAN COULD bother with what link could only assume would be another snarky retort , he'd pushed against a brick on the north - facing wall . it clicked , and the ground beneath them rumbled as the stones scraped against one another , retreating into the walls . a silhouette of a door had been made visible .

THAT WAS DEFINITELY AN easier way to get in than the grate . IF it would open . which the door had decided it would most definitely not do . maybe it needed another trigger? link stood and dusted his palms of the rust and crumbling gravel . joining the man at the threshold , he glanced briefly at the brick he'd pushed in . the patterns on it looked vaguely like a moth . tickling the back of his mind : wasn't there a counterpart ? the aether liked to be split into equal halves , after all . LINK PURSED HIS LIPS and looked around . the differences between a moth and a butterfly didn't always seem that apparent on the surface . but if you knew how to look , they were easy to spot . sort of like the etchings of old art chiseled into the surface of the stone . . . that dipped behind a wildflower cluster .

LINK KNELT DOWN , pushing away wild stems vines and leaves and — aha !

THE STONE WAS COOL to the touch , but beneath the moss and vines was an etching of a ivurie butterfly . link pressed down on the brick and watched as the door finally opened up . pleased with himself , link glanced at the man and , albeit tersely , jutted his head in gesture : go on .

THE TEMPLE OPENED UP . inside , huge pillars stood the test of time alongside weathered decor that had been long since forgotten . link raised the slate and began to take pictures . maybe he should have invited zelda . she would love this .

THE HAUNT OF EYES UPON him burned . then again , maybe for another day . ignoring him , link snapped another photo and then returned his attention to the guy .

link , by the way , he said , cocking a brow in the subtle challenge : be polite .

Damn, it was a door after all. Loki found the retort lost upon his tongue as he watched the child follow in step. Perhaps... he was not as incompetent as Loki had first assumed. ( the boy knew the aether and had an eye for the 'out of place.' ) However, that was a minor comfort to him, who was now permanently confined with the child.

Loki hardly acknowledged the other as he entered the temple. It was certainly a testament to the architectural advances of this civilization. It was no Omnipotence City, however, and certainly no Asgard. But these were no ordinary artisans that had created these. These were craftsmen and artists who carried passion in the tools they wielded. There was care and detail only weathered by time. But no amount of time could ever steal those hearts

His reveries only came to a halt with the dim reminder of the unwanted presence.

Loki. He replied. If this 'Link' insisted, Loki could be cordial... enough. Taking steps deeper into the newly revealed corridor of this sanctum. Oh, the hours he could spend among these cold walls. Vividly his mind recounted the old days when brothers were but children sneaking in the passages of the palace in search of forbidden knowledge. They laughed and theorized guided only by the light of their torch...-

SNAP.

Does your device not have the capacity to remain silent? Loki quickly whipped around toward Link and the device in hand. He was not unfamiliar with things that took pictures, however, something about this one was particularly grating on his nerves.

You may as well send a beacon to any watchful eye regarding our location.

"You need to be kinder to yourself, you don't achieve anything by hatin' yourself." (Let him be the biggest hypocrite you've ever seen)

Mm. That is incorrect. Loki scoffed at the suggestion, setting the glass he had cleaned down with a resounding thud against the bar countertop. The night had been slow at the Evening Spirits with only a steady trickle of patrons to keep the tavern lively. He had known his former house dweller had been restored to this realm, but Loki had not held conversation with him since.

When I am dissatisfied with a flaw, then I will do whatever it takes to erase that. It is that simple. In Loki's mind, there was always something more he could do. More he could be. It was a never-ending cycle of tearing out the weakness and replacing it with strength. The goal was the impossible standard.

Not that it is any of your business, Stampede.Loki's gaze returned to the man. Upon a quick glance, he seemed in far worse shape than Loki remembered him to be.
