I *just* finished Wind and Truth and one thing that I’ve been DYING to point out it this:

When Dalinar was talking to Nohadon at the very end Nohadon was asking him questions that my therapist asks me on a regular basis. What do you want? What does that look like? How are you going to get it?

We watched Kaladin heal. We watched Shallan heal. We watched Dalinar heal. THIS is how you win. Storms I love these books.

I can’t hold it in any longer.

I don’t know if anyone else out here likes to listen to music while reading but I’m often searching for epic music to listen to while reading Brandon Sanderson. My current favorite option is the Our Planet soundtrack, for anyone who is on a similar quest.

Question for the group:

Im about a quarter of the way through WaT and I don’t remember a lot of RoW. I’m noticing a correlation between Taravangian being given the gift of infinite wisdom on that one day by Cultivation and Taravangian using that knowledge to become Odium. Why would Cultivation give him that day of Wisdom if she didn’t want him to take up Odium’s shard? That wisdom basically already gave him godhood, it feels like she started the inevitable?

I’d love your insights.

Hi friends, it’s been a while, just wanted to let you know that I finally read era 1 of Mistborn and it emotionally destroyed me and NOW I’m finally reading Wind and Truth! Very excited!!

If I was a light weaver I would use my powers to give myself dope tattoos whenever I want. Today I have octopus tentacles. Tomorrow I have flowers growing out of my ankle. Next week imma have a tree growing up my spine and maybe a sticker sleeve. The possibilities are endless

You know what I found interesting? Stormlight Archive is all about oaths BUT it never mentions (to my recollection) Lirin taking a Rosharan version of the Hippocratic oath. Maybe if the radiants didn’t only come around in times of war and they could be full time healers that sort of thing would exist?

Okay how do y’all describe the plot of Stormlight Archive? I keep having people ask “what’s it about?” And I don’t know how to give a concise answer that doesn’t betray too much of the plot! Send help

Doing my NYT games every morning like Taravangian taking his daily tests

I like to think that Adolin was super nervous for he and Shallan’s first kiss. I like to think that he was planning it mentally for months because he was so worried about screwing things up. I like to think that their actual first kiss took him by surprise. I like to think that he was insurmountable embarrassed by Pattern being there and made Shallan get Pattern to take an oath to not hang around on their wedding night.
